In March of 2022, my wife and I purchased our very first home. One month later, it was on fire and needed to be gutted and demolished. We were devastated. While I navigated our insurance, the fire investigation, and public adjusters reaching out to us, she began to look around for anyone in the area who could help with fire damage and restoration. She found MA Restoration, and immediately we were in good hands. Brian went to bat for us with our insurance and negotiated as much money as possible every step of the demolition and restoration. Meanwhile, Steve and his team of contractors did a fabulous job restoring the house—not just back to it’s natural 120+ year New England charm, but rebuilt better and more efficient than ever with straighter lines and more space everywhere it was possible. He hand-built the stairs himself, came in many off days to tackle anything he could, and was willing to tackle any concern big or small to the very end. He was even patient and diligent with multiple change orders, including some necessary architectural updates to add an extra room over an awkward previous addition. The entire rebuild, Brian and Steve were communicative, thoughtful, capable, and hard working. This wasn’t just a single basement that flooded—they essentially had to rebuild an entire house to a combination of old and new specs. It took 2 years—MA Restoration fought for every advantage they could get us, and that necessarily stretched the timeline out a bit—but the job they did was extraordinary and has allowed my wife and I to move back into our stunning home with all of the hope in our hearts we originally had when we bought it 2 years ago. I will forever be grateful to Brian and Steve (and Dustin, and their preferred architect John, and the rest of their team) for giving my wife and I are home again. Our refrigerator leaked on a brand new hardwood floor. We had multiple contractors in to make repairs but only M.A. Restoration did the job right. The insurance company wanted to cut out a piece and go cheap. M.A. Restoration insisted that the floor be removed and then refinish the entire first floor. So they don't compromise on quality. Then they completed the job TWO WEEKS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. They also had a cleaning crew come in when done. The quality of their work is fantastic. Bill the project manager visited the project regularly to make sure things were moving along and well done. He also communicated with me regularly and I always received a call before workers arrived. Such PROFESSIONALISM and QUALITY are difficult to find. They may not be the lowest price but their quality and attention to detail and customer service is above all others. I highly recommend them.

regarding a prior post from kflo, spoke too soon. tile placed matched tile ordered. not mark's fault. the sample didn't match the sku #. still looks great btw. job did take longer than estimated, but there were special circumstances, such as our horrific winter. have to say that in the end mar went over and above my expectations . we had more rot than we thought and price was not increased for extra work. they spent extra time making sure all work was done well and to my liking. i would trust mar with any jobs, as they are conscientous and take pride in a job well done.

I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do home improvement and mold remediation. These guys are amazing. Top of their class. Highly recommend any day/time or event.

M.A. Restoration is professional and very thorough. Mark visited my house after a pipe burst causing extension damage to my living room. When he met with the insurance adjuster he made sure that all of the damaged areas were inspected and made sure that the adjuster knew how the restoration should be done. I'm looking forward to having Mark's company perform whatever restoration work has to be done.

Very disappointed. Worked a few days, get their down payment and gone for weeks job was not done by date told it would be completed. ..Over a month behind schedule. .. put in wrong tile and blame the tile shop... always some excuse or someone else's fault... will never use again! I have nothing but the highest praise and gratitude for the work that MA Restoration has provided for our home over the years. The first project was a basement refinish which included four areas: A craft room with custom closets, workout area, an entertainment area with its own stage and a family room with custom cabinets and surround sound. Mark and his team have remodeled our master bath, kitchen, front entryway and built a new deck. Mark is a man of integrety who is honest, hard working and delivers on every job above and beyond expectation. Mark works with excellent sub contractors: painters, plumbers, electricians... who he has years of experience and who very reliable and trustworthy. W e would never consider working with anyone else.

I was very apprehensive when I started interviewing contractors for my renovation job. Mark Johnson of MA Restoration immediately set me at ease. His honest, thorough approach reassured me that I was not only going to get top notch work but also a fair price. Bill, Chris, and all of the MA Restoration guys were great! They cared about doing a great job and were very respectful of my home and my privacy. I will definitely be calling them again!

I have hired M.A. Restoration for many home improvement projects over the years, from finishing my basement, to revamping the entire exterior of my home, to multiple minor interior updates or repairs. They are trustworthy, dependable, and most importantly thorough. If there is something that isn't quite right after a job is completed, they will come back and make it right. I have the utmost respect for this company and the relationship I have developed with them.

I came back from a trip to find myself stepping in a pool of water, our home was flooded on 2 floors. Our plumber gave me the number of Mark from MA Restoration. I called them and all I can say is that from that moment on, I did not have to do anything else. They were very responsive, professional and caring. They even contacted our insurance company and dealt with them. The clean-up and repairs were done to perfection and on time. The whole process was so easy, we decided to redo the Master Bath. The hardest thing here was to chose our colors and material. The rest was a breeze and done on time in 3 weeks, as promised, just before our family came to spend Christmas at home. We now fully rely on this company for any house related issue. Their knowledge, responsiveness and understanding is all we need for our peace of mind. We trust them completely.

We hired M.A. Restoration to do a complete renovation of the kitchen in our 80-year-old home. From the beginning, Mark and his team were professional, thorough, communicative, and trustworthy. His estimate was detailed, and we paid exactly the estimated costs with only additions that we specified after the project started (e.g., toekick heater). The quality of the work performed by Mark's team and his subcontractors was incredible, particularly the cabinet installation and all the woodwork. The team was flexible when we asked for small adjustments and gave us great advice along the way, too. The kitchen looks even better than I ever could have imagined it!
