New Era Construction

I purchased an $899,000 property in Naples, FL 34104 on December 15, 2022, from New Era Construction, LLC. The home has a one-year warranty which was pulled by the builder due to misinformation given to him by an employee. Builder, Michael Whalen has refused to complete the punch list items due to this misinformation. The information given by this employee is a blatant lie and an untruth against my character. I will not apologize for a claimed incident in which did not happen and where there were witnesses. Mr. Whalen chose to believe his employee without any regard to my statement as to what actually happened. The following items were promised to be completed by January 1, 2023, in an email the day prior to closing. I did not push closing due to his word these items would be completed by this date. Mr. Whalen did not want to push closing because it would cost him $4000 in missing the December 15th deadline. Mr. Whalen did not begin the punch list items until the first week of January. His claim for the delay is contractors closing down for the holidays. The closing was December 15, 2022. Mr. Whalen knew of his commitment December 14, 2022, during which time he should have scheduled all of the punch list items to be completed by his promised date. Instead, he chose to promise a completion date in which he knew he would not fulfill in order to proceed with the closing. Furthermore, pulling a home warranty with insistence of an apology for an incident in which did not happen is unprofessional and unethical. These items remain incomplete: -Entire flooring in the home has to be replaced due to improper installation and not preparing the floor prior to LVP installation. -Bathroom tiled shower has to be retiled due to mixed installed tiles. Combination of smooth subway and wavy tile. -Two trees in the back yard need to be trimmed to prevent damage to the pool enclosure. -Interior living room wall above and below the window needs to be painted. -Railing at the front entrance needs to be painted. -Owner bathroom window has deficiencies. I cannot and will not allow for my name, my word and integrity be defamed. I am a successful businessman and built my businesses with integrity and my word. If you have any plans to do business with this individual and company, please retain an attorney for everything, from start to finish.

New Era Construction is our go to company for all our remodeling projects. So far they have done an excellent job with a total bathroom remodel, bedroom remodel, a family room wall unit and a wooden double front door. Small projects or large projects they seem to be able to do everything well. The owner Mike is on site frequently reviewing every aspect of the job. His employees are friendly, clean and courteous. If something comes up regarding the project that is below your expectations, New Era does not hesitate to correct the problem.

New Era Construction did a master bath remodel for us. The owner, Mike, was here often to manage the job. His crew and subs were on time every day. They all cleaned up every day. The job stayed within budget and on schedule. In short they were one of the best contractors I have ever hired for anything.

They were willing to work on some other things while I got an electrcian in to fix a "weekend warrior " electrical job while the exterior wall was open.
