We had a major renovation performed by Thomason Brothers Construction. Our kitchen was gutted and redone with KSI cabinets. In addition to the kitchen work we also added a 3-season sun room, replaced the majority of existing plumbing in the house, also re-sheeted / shingled the roof and put on new siding. Abel Thomason is a creative thinker who generated multiple ideas of how to change the existing structure to have increased functionality and 'curb appeal'. The entire Thomason Brothers crew and sub-contractors were friendly, timely and honest. I had now concerns of giving them access to our home while we were at work. They may not be the least expensive but they are competitive and do good work. I recommend anyone at least give them a look and hear their ideas.

We had an excellent experience with Thomason Brothers. Our remodeled kitchen which now opens into the living/dining space is gorgeous and receives oohs and aahs when friends enter. It is a great space for cooking with cabinets well- arranged, and an open bar to the living room which is used all the time. WE love it. The work was done cheerfully and on time. Abel, James, Bob and Peter are, along with being really nice people, terrific carpenters. They show up on time or early, work all day, do excellent rough and finish carpentry and clean up! I have had them do bathrooms, exterior siding, extend eves, redesign the facade of the house and build an arbor. Able will work with you on designs and everything is always very satisfying. They also repaired and replaced a section of wood floor damaged by water and you couldn't tell there had ever been any damage or where the old floor started and the new ended.

I've hired Thomason Brothers multiple times and they are without a doubt the best construction firm in Michigan. They are great with open and honest communication, fair pricing, and outstanding work with an artistic edge! Can't wait for our next project!!

When I hired Abel, I told him that my main objective was to be finished by September 1st. After weeks of delay, he finally promised to start on Monday. When I asked on Sunday when I should expect them, I got a text saying "we are not available to help you at this time with your project." I'd recommend to stay far away from this firm if you value honesty and minimum reliability.

Abel and his crew were wonderful when I moved into a new house. They knocked down part of a wall to open up two rooms, and Abel recommended sliding barn doors, which was a really cool architectural element, and changed the whole look and feel of the house. His crew was very professional and did the highest quality work. They replaced trim on the house exterior, built a gate for the deck, hung lighting fixtures, replaced toilets, and more. I would hire them again for any project I will need to undertake. He was originally recommended by my realtor, who is very knowledgeable about who is good in town.
