Have worked exclusively with Tom Turcketta almost 20 yrs. Projects have ranged from maintenance repairs to complete renovation of space. I regularly receive compliments on the custom cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms. His attention to detail, passion and dedication to having each project meet the needs of the homeowner with lasting quality is why Tom is always the first person I call.

Tom Turcketta Building and Remodeling did an extensive restoration of the exterior of my 19th century home. From start to finish the experience and the work were top quality. He communicated fully and understandably what needed to be done, and why. The work proceeded steadily and on schedule. His work crew was very skilled and communicative. Even during the winter, with snow on the ground, the work moved along. The job was finished when Tom said it would be, and the cost was what I expected. He is very detail oriented, and not even the littlest task was overlooked. He checked in frequently, so there were no surprises. I recommend him very highly.

Tom Turcketta building and remodeling performed a complete home remodel on our 1890s home. The home needed significant structural work as well as a complete systems upgrade of all utilities etc. The whole process was stressful due to the amount of work being performed but I never had to worry that quality would be compromised. Tom Turcketta ensured that quality would be top notch and that long term maintenance issues would not become a problem. Tom's word and name mean a lot to him so he is a straight talker with high integrity. He also expects the same of all his sub-contractors. He keep tight control of the safety and security of the site which is a cut above any other residential contractor that I have ever worked with. The finish carpenty work is Tom's specialty but that attention to detail shows in all aspects of the project. Tom Turketta and his team of craftsman restored our antique cape with beautiful period appropriate finish work. Tom is a perfectionist with his craft while welcoming and encouraging a collaborative effort with his clients. We have built homes before and have dealt with contractors who cut corners and hid costs. Tom is far and above the best we have worked with. Our construction site was amazingly clean and every effort was made to keep the disruption of the project to a minimum. We highly recommend Tom and look forward to working with him on the next phase of our project.

Tom has done a number of projects for the family. Tom and his team are a highly skilled and professional group. They our properties with the highest regard and care. The best part is watching them really enjoying themselves when it comes to the highly skilled art of finish work and Cabinetry. In 2012 extensive work need to be done on property the family owned. It was a challenging project as the main part of the house was built in 1640. We interviewed five contractors, narrowing the group to three. Tom was selected because he listen to what the end goal was and his approach to the project. When a second project came up there was no question who was going to do the work. Tom's proposals were clear and well defined so there was no question on what was to be done and what the final outcome should be.

Outstanding professionalism, craftsmanship and artistry! We were looking to renovate our 1892 home to have a classic and timeless elegance, while at the same time all the conveniences of a modern, open and airy home. We got exactly what we were looking for. Tom has a tremendous eye for detail and sense of proportion. Every corner of the house shows the care and attention of a fine craftsman. His team is professional, the property was always immaculate. In the end our is a waterfront classic that will stand the test of another hundred plus years.

We live in an 1847 home which had already been 80% renovated and updated. Tom replaced our kitchen and laundry room areas, installed bookshelves in the library, and replaced much of the outside work improperly performed by a prior contractor on the rear of the house (hired by another the prior owner). We also have an 1847 adjacent carriage house which was in such disrepair that we contemplated razing it. Tom convinced us that he could save it and we invested in a complete foundation-up restoration. Tom also built a 20’ x 40’ custom 3 bay garage that houses my wood shop with plenty of room for 3 cars. The quality is superb and finishing is perfect. We had some difficult projects with unknown costs. Tom gave us a range of costs depending on what he found when he got into the projects. The costs were always within his original estimates. Tom completed the projects on time and on budget, keeping us informed and integrated into the decision-making throughout the project. Both the carriage house and garage are incredibly solidly built with impeccable attention to detail and fantastic craftsmanship. Tom is truly a master craftsman. Tom would be the only contractor I would call for any job, large or small. In the 5 years we've worked with him he and his expert craftsmen have earned our trust and admiration.
