Can’t say enough about our experience with the Certains. They came very highly recommended by friends who had used them for a full renovation of their home, which came out gorgeous. Our friends have really high expectations for professionalism, transparency, communication, and staying on budget - and they said the Certains were like no other contractors they’d used. We ended up interviewing several contractors for our job, and just as our friends said, they were SO different than the others. They gave a super clear budget (that they actually stuck to!), they responded to questions immediately with clear answers, they showed up when they said they would - on time - EVERY single time - and on top of that, they were just such kind, NICE people. We ended up going with them and now a year after wrapping the job, we are still so happy we did. The job was done perfectly - on time and on budget. We did a full house remodel with Certain Homes. It was our first time doing a home remodel. We got a few quotes, but ultimately went with Certain Homes as we liked that it was a family run business and the team was very knowledgeable and responsive. The house remodel came out great and our 1930s house, looks nearly brand new with modern, luxury finishes. The remodel came out right at budget.

The expression we heard before starting to build our house was "It's more difficult to find a good general contractor than a good doctor.” Well we found one in Alex Certain and in his company Certain Homes. With the myriad of concerns that come along with building our first house one of the most important is, can you trust the builder? Trust in building you an excellent house. Trust in getting it done in a reasonable time span (1-2 years). Trust in being honest and not overcharging you. Trust in being flexible in making changes to the original plan when needed. Trust in answering your phone calls immediately or within minutes without being put off by a secretary saying he’s busy and will call you back tomorrow. Trust in being on the job site every day (except Sundays). Alex and his company met and exceeded all of our trust concerns. We have a beautifully built home in the unbelievable time of 10 months from start to finish! We stayed within budget with the changes we asked for. By answering our phone calls every day as well as calling us on his own almost as much as we called him and being at the construction site daily, he made the process as stress-free as possible, considering all the dizzying decisions that come along with building a new house. Finally, with his trustworthy character and high skill level from day one we always felt complete confidence in his ability to deliver on all the concerns we had. Others that we happened to meet that had their home either remodeled or built by Alex had similar experiences and could not help appreciate, as we did, his likeable personality! So obviously, we recommend him and Certain Homes highly with no reservations!

Alex and his team built our custom made home and we just moved in. Our experience was wonderful, the house was finished on time and within budget. Even with most material prices increases and shortages, Alex and his two sons were able to solve every obstacle we encountered. I believe communication is the key to success. Alex Certain does this exceptionally well. He always plans ahead and is very responsive to messages calls and emails. He has enormous amount of experience and him and his crew and subcontractors are all very professional and easy to work with. He is very transparent with pricing. I had toured a home Alex had built years ago that was for sale & a couple years later I hired him to be the project manager for my new home construction. Alex is a gentleman and a hard worker. He does everything in his power to keep things moving on time. I have recommended him to several friends including a good friend of mine used him to do a full Gut renovation and they were extremely pleased with the result as well. New home construction and renovations are always stressful and time consuming and it is invaluable to have someone that is organized with experience and reputable. Wow, where to begin? My wife and I first met Alex Certain of Certain Homes Inc. in 2015 as we were starting our search for a new home for our family. We came across a couple of the properties that Certain Homes was building in our area and immediately fell in love with the quality and style of work being done. Unable to find what we were looking for on the existing home's real estate market, we began to contemplate the daunting task of designing and building our forever dream home. Ultimately, the relationship we built with Alex Certain together with his knowledge, patience, expertise, and trustworthiness made the decision to build that much easier. Alex patiently guided us along the way as we did our due diligence finding and purchasing the right piece of land, worked with our lender on a construction loan, designed and planned with our architect, and navigated the local and county permitting and approval process. Alex, and Certain Homes Inc., quickly provided us with the answers to our questions or put us in contact with the appropriate resources to keep our project moving forward. Next came construction. Alex's diligence and attentiveness to detail is unlike anything we'd ever experienced. His planning, preparedness, and professional relationship with his network of high-quality sub-contractors resulted in the build of a 6000sf single-family home on a half-acre wooded lot in less than a year's time, with a hurricane thrown in the mix for extra measure. He kept us informed, engaged, and ahead of the game throughout the entire build process; thereby preventing any unnecessary delays and cost overruns. We've been in our home now for a little over three years and can't be happier. It's like a never-ending honeymoon. In addition, Certain Homes continues to be there for us when needed. When minor issues have needed to be quickly addressed, or when we decided to move forward with the build of an outdoor BBQ area, Alex and Certain Homes have been there for us. Alex will always answer your call or quickly return your message. I really can't say enough about Alex Certain and Certain Homes, Inc. I highly recommend Certain Homes for any new home construction, enhancement, or remodeling project. During the build process, I recall a very telling conversation with the local building inspector. I asked him what he thought of the project to date and of his opinion of the work being done. His response was along the line of "In my many years as a building inspector, I have never seen such a quality structural build of a single-family home." That was all I needed to hear to be certain we had made the right decision of trusting Alex and Certain Homes, Inc. with our forever home. William Santiago
