Nilson Homes

If you are looking for a brand new home that you will have to continuously fix then Nilson Homes is a great pick. Beautiful homes with doors that don't latch, fixtures that fall off the walls, tiles that are not even, scratches all over nice surfaces from day 1 moving in (which they won't cover btw), "floating" laminate that is nailed down and so much more. Such a great experience trying to get them to fix anything. Our first call took 3 months to get any help. We submitted our request for asthetic things and 2/3 were never taken care of. I understand that their subcontractors are other businesses... but Nilson Homes is aware of the quality of work and the issues regarding it. I had to sit and fight with their flooring contractor to come out and fix our floors that were separating because they had replaced random ones with flooring that didn't even match AND had holes from nails all over them. It literally took me sending around 90 pictures pointing to every single nail hole on my floor for them to come out. The nails void the flooring companies warranty, unlike the contractor tried to convince me. Luckily I am familiar with shady contractors so I did my own research before even reaching out to them so I could let him know he was lying to me. We would try to call and they would tell us they were figuring it out then never call us back. We did months of trying to get them out before we gave up. All of the neighbors homes are having the same issues. The airflow of the entire house is absolutely awful. Makes total sense now why the guy on our final walkthrough was telling me about how to get airflow better... he knew it was going to be bad. Our main bedroom is above the garage and approximately 90 degrees all summer. We have had to sleep on our main level to survive and have had to buy a mobile swamp cooler to make it even livable.

We built a home with Nilson homes and were super impressed. We signed papers in 2020, with Hiedi Iverson. Heidi was amazing, she was upfront and honest with us the whole time! Heidi spend lots of time with us, looking at floor plans, walking through models, figuring out what I could afford. When it came down to signing papers, I said I was nervous and not sure. Heidi told me, don’t purchase if you have any sort of second thoughts, I loved this support and extremely non-pushy approach!! It made me feel cared about and not just another sale for her. We obviously decided to sign, and it was such a great decision!! Like I said Heidi was amazing and communicated with me often, and still to this day after closing answers any questions I have. Eric was our supervisor, and also extremely responsive, and again still responds to me even after closing. Eric paid such close attention to detail on our home, and caught things I never would have. He came and unlocked the doors for me to walk through it any time I wanted. My dad is a custom home builder and extremely picky on how things are done, and he too was very impressed with the job they did. I’d highly recommend working with Nilson homes!! My experience through the whole thing was nothing but great!! Since closing their warranty department has also been amazing, if something small has come up they were out there within 48 hours.

Nilson Homes was great to build with. We were able to work with Heidi Iverson. She did a fabulous job and was really responsive when we would reach out to her. She has a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all are questions throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Nilson Homes and Heidi.

Heidi Iverson was AMAZING!! She made everything seamless and a breeze, I HIGHLY recommend her! Nilson homes has been so amazing to work with even throughout this crazy year they have answered any of our questions and made it seem easy to build a house even when I thought it would be stressful! Nilson doesn’t cut corners, they make homes with good quality and they made my dream home a reality!! I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful new home!!

I cannot recommend Nilson Homes enough! This was mine and my wife's first home purchase and I am positive we went the right route. Each step of the way (from design to closing) we felt that everyone we worked with from Nilson truly wanted to ensure that we were well informed and that our needs were met. We moved in last week and still can't believe that this beautiful home is ours. Our realtor, Heidi, was awesome to work with and was quick to provide answers to our many questions. We always felt as though she was honest and forthright (something we didn't feel with some of the other builders in the area). If you're looking to build a home, Nilson Homes should be your first choice.

This was our first build and it went extremely smooth! We were both a little scared in the beginning because of things we had heard about building a new home! Heidi was able to put our worries to rest and help us out with quick and honest answers from day one till today!

I would never recommend working with Nilson Homes. They couldn’t care less about the quality of the home, all they intend to do is build the homes as fast as they can. They’re subs are unresponsive and contend everything you ask to be fixed. Don’t ask for any modifications because they absolutely will not do anything custom for your home so don’t even bother asking. I had to come by my house every day to make sure things were being done correctly because the superintendent only came through once a week for half a day. They pay low dollar for the cheapest subcontractors......I had problems beginning with the foundation. Crappy concrete work that had to be repaired within a week, the concrete started to crack after a day and the foundation was square on the front of the house which Nilsson homes went on to tell me that it’s build to industry standards. I cannot emphasize enough......never build with Nilson Homes.

Nilson homes has been fantastic for my family and I. We walked into a model home unannounced and was instantly greeted by Heidi she went over every possible option with my family which included a great lender who offered to take 5k off of either closing cost or total sales price which helped our situation tremendously! The total experience during our build was extremely friendly and positive I would recommend 100% every question no matter what day or time was answered in a timely fashion everything about the experience was good not a single negative!

We had such a great experience with Nilson. From our initial meeting all the way to closing we felt informed and valued as customers. The design studio was a wonderful experience with Jossilyn, she had wonderful design expertise while also being very open to hearing what we wanted and needed in our home. Our realtor, Heidi Iverson, was a delight to work with!! She was so attentive and responsive anytime we needed her and was always open and honest about any foreseeable delays or bumps in the road, which was much appreciated. We also loved working with our superintendent, Kurt Dixon, who also kept us very informed through buildertrend. We love our home!!! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved working with Nilson Homes. This was the first house that we have built and I can't recommend Nilson Homes enough. They made the entire process much less stressful than I could have imagined. The design studio was a great experience and the ladies there were very helpful with suggestions when we weren't exactly sure what we wanted. Kurt kept us updated with our home and what was going on weekly, which was so nice, during all the different phases of the build. And last, but certainly not least, Heidi made this entire process perfect (even with a few hiccups along the way). We cannot say enough great things about her. She was always quick to respond and if we had a question she would answer it right away and if she didn't know she would make sure that she found out for us as soon as possible. We owe a lot of our wonderful home building experience to her!

Nilson homes is a great builder. Working with Heidi was amazing. She answered all my questions and made the process very smooth, she was there every step of the way and truly cares about her clients. Eric was also great to work with, if I had any issues or concerns he was always prompt at getting back to me and handled every situation very professionally. I enjoyed the experience of getting to pick everything out at once at the design studio, the girls there went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my choices and stay within my budget. I love my new home and would definitely recommend Nilson homes to anyone who is looking to build.
