exceptional. having completed 3 projects with scott simpson design + build (and nearing completion on a 4th) i cannot imagine building with any other firm. every step of the way, scott and his team exude integrity and excellence. he holds his team to the highest standards and surrounds himself with incredible architects and subs who stand by and support their work after the project is completed. additionally, scott is a great human being who is fun to be around. he makes the process as easy and stressless as possible. when you empower him to do what he does best, amazing projects take shape.

cott Simpson Design + Build worked with us from the initial idea of building a new home through home completion. They were a joy to work with; fully invested in making sure the project exceeded our expectations. We never had to mediate between the architect and the builder (often a problem when it's not a design/build firm), which allowed us to stay on budget and get what we wanted design-wise. The whole team was on the same page, and worked extremely well with their subcontractors. Monthly reporting was timely, accurate and reassuring. Weekly onsite progress meetings kept us apprised/informed, and we were able to make field adjustments as necessary in a timely way. The team routinely suggested interesting design ideas that now are enjoying daily. Now that we have been in the house for 2+ years, SSDB followthrough has been amazing, and we get compliments on our home pretty much everyday from people walking in the neighborhood. Can't recommend SSDB highly enough!

We absolutely LOVE our new remodel of our home! Working with SSDB has been a delight and couldn’t ask for more. The attention to detail of the home is impeccable and we loved picking out everything and working with our designer/architect. The complete transformation is amazing and now we feel like we’re on vacation living in downtown Chicago! We would highly recommend SSDB f you want great, quality workmanship.

We were fortunate enough to build our forever dream home last year. We spoke with a few builders and choose Scott Simpson Builders. It wasn’t a difficult choice!! After speaking with them we felt very comfortable that they had our best in interest in mind. They also built a couple of our friends homes and we saw their final product which is outstanding! Our family absolutely loves the home that Scott Simpson Builders created for us! I can't say enough about Scott Simpson Builders. We built a custom home (the pictures are on Houzz) with them 4 years ago and already have added a large heated and cooled 3 seasons room and are now building out a cool, modern wine cellar. Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are second to none. Not only are they top notch professionals, but honest, hardworking and kind and so are all of their subcontractors. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend them to anyone wanting a truly custom, one of a kind, top quality home to spend a lifetime in.

Dream team - that's who SSB is! After years of sitting on our lot, dreaming of what our home would look like, they listened, encouraged, and lead us through an amazing process of building the home that is perfect for our family. We looked forward to our meetings with TK and Amy and appreciated their transparency with the budget, honesty and ability to listen and hold their promise. Working with Scott at Scott Simpson Builders was a great experience. He was always professional and pleasant and made the home remodeling experience much less painful. As compared to other projects we have done of a similar large scale, I think his bid was very correct and resulted in few surprises. Change orders were quickly and professionally handled so that we could manage our project. I would use his firm again for any other project I undertake.
