As first time builders, initially the process seemed scary but our experience with VLC was great. Vince and his team were always on the mark taking care of the entire process and guiding us along the way. Our home came out better than we could have imagined, the crew was very hard working and trustworthy. We were also very happy with all the subcontractors and suppliers they use which added to the beauty of our home. Greatly recommended.

VLC is an excellent premier home builder and we would unreservedly recommend them to build your new home. We commissioned the design of our home on our own and then met with several builders for quotes. VLC immediately understood our vision for our home's design/theme and expertly guided us through every stage of the build. Vince and his team worked tirelessly to ensure that our build went smoothly and came in on budget. Many builders give unrealistic quotes just to get the job - everything ends up being an "upgrade" and then that supposed great price skyrockets. Not with VLC - Vince was upfront and candid about the true costs to build our home with the level of quality and finish that we wanted, which was reflected in generous and realistic building allowances. There were no hidden or unexpected costs for our build. VLC's attention to detail and the pride in their craftsmanship is second to none. For example, all of the trim in our home was hand coped and returned (we didn't think anyone actually did this anymore). Simply amazing! We have received many compliments on the quality of the trim and finish work in our home. This is just one small example of Vince's "old-school" attention to detail and finish. Building a home involves making numerous decisions on materials and fixtures of every quality. We were complete rookies on this front and, frankly the a bit intimidated by the prospect of making so many decisions. Vince made this process comfortable and provided very good insight. Every selection we made was with his invaluable help. Perhaps most importantly, VLC stands behind their work. Their post-construction service is responsive and diligent. Many builders won't return your calls after the build is complete and after they have been paid. We never experienced this with VLC, they have answered every call and took care of every issue. We are very proud of the home VLC built for us, and look forward to many years admiring the work of this premier custom home builder. We hope that you do as well.

We purchased VLC's model home on alpenrose because of its beauty and quality craftsmanship. From the beginning, Vince was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. It is clear that Vince puts his heart into his projects and and is very attentive to detail, producing beautiful homes, like the one we are currently enjoying. He is also very easy to work with and will go above and beyond for his customers, and takes great pride in his work. We will surely recommend Vince to all of our friends and family!

I am a real estate salesperson with engineering background. It was tough for to select the builder as I have seen many houses plus with my engineering background knew about heating, cooling and plumbing systems. VLC Custom homes fit all the criteria that I had as far as the quality of material and workmanship was concerned. VLC custom homes excelled in workmanship and focus on small details that resulted in a higher quality home that I liven in now and my whole family is enjoying. We hired VLC to do a renovation in our main floor family room after meeting Vince. His honesty and integrity when quoting, preparing and performing his work is to say the least, incredible. He not only cares about the work that he is doing but protects the rest of your home while doing it. He schedules with care, his staff are professional and friendly but everyone works so well together, and with you, to do an outstanding job in a very reasonable amount of time. I love the work that he did in our home, it garners many compliments and we recommend VLC as often as we can.

We have had VLC Custom Homes plan/organize our roofing replacement, which went extremely well, and because of that terrific experience we have engaged them in other projects. There have been various jobs that have come up in the last year, our dishwasher replacement, which VLC sourced, picked up, delivered and installed. Also, garage door opener, kitchen sink tap replacement all of which they did exceptionally well, very detailed oriented and cleaned up afterwards! Vince and Dave are great, friendly and just a pleasure to deal with.

We replaced our laminate flooring with Pagoda Hardwood on the mail floor - had the ceilings repaired after water damage from a bathroom upstairs - a complete kitchen reno by removing old cabinets and bulkhead - replaced with new high gloss white kitchen cabinets, new sink & faucet - rewiring of kitchen for pot lights - gas connection for new stove - repair of drywall after removing chair rail - paint kitchen, ceilings and hallway.

VLC Custom Homes just completed a remodel of our family room and two bathrooms. We had used Vince a few years ago to refinish our basement and he did such a wonderful job that we knew who we had to call for this project. Vince is very knowledgeable, reliable and he has great vision. VLC Custom Homes provides excellent service and high quality craftsmanship. We are extremely happy with our remodel and would highly recommend VLC Homes!

VLC remodeled my kitchen 2 years ago and did a major renovation in the upper floors of my house to create a family room/office from an unfinished attic. In this second job VLC had to engineer flooring and stairway design. Everything is done to code with proper city permits. They have also finished a basement room for us and has done painting work throughout our house. All experiences were very positive. I find Vince to be both honest and reliable. The quality of his work is excellent and his quotes are fair. For the attic renovation he designed and fabricated the railing/bannister to his own deign and we like it a lot. I would recommend Vince to anyone considering a major or minor renovation to their home.

I moved into a 20 year old home that needed major renovation, all of which were done by VLC Custom Homes. They completely gutted and renovated my ensuite bath, installed custom cabinets in laundry room, built stone fireplace with beautiful mantle that frequently receives compliments and many other smaller projects. What sets this company apart from others is the quality of the workmanship and dependability. I value Vince's option when it comes to choosing colours, styles and general design planning. I highly recommend this company for any renovations and I'm sure the same quality exists on his new builds.

My daughters bedroom small standard size closet was expanded over the garage. This ended up being a large walk-in closet the size of a small room with a dormer window. We also decided (on the advice of the contractor) to replace the existing siding on the front of the house with new stucco to match the new dormer window over the garage. Everything turned out great. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. The new stucco enhanced the look of the house and tied in nicely with the roof shingles and the brickwork. We were very satisfied with the project and would recommend VLC Custom Homes for any work whether large or small.

My husband & I were extremely satisfied with the professionalism shown by Vince Lapico, of VLC Cutom Homes Inc. He has completely remodeled both our bathroom & our kitchen. He has demonstrated a keen insight into current decorating styles & is extremely competent in executing his customer's "wish list".
