My business partner and I have known Angelisse for about 20 years through business contacts in construction, engineering, and architecture. We first used her services for our four-plex in Bushrod, which was in a horrendous state after +80 years of not being loved. What we learned from this experience was to call Angelisse FIRST. She will give you the playbook to transform your property whether you want to do it in months or +10 years. (Hey, some of us have budget constraints! Angelisse will understand and will work with you to cut cost where no one with notice!) She also has great contacts for all your construction and design needs, so meeting with her first will help speed the process of finding the right people to work with... yay to maintaining momentum and getting it done! Her expertise goes beyond color, so be prepared! Take notes and record your meeting with her. As we've experienced, this will give you the highest ROI of anyone involved in your project. You'll receive a plan for colors that fits your style and design needs (Ha, if one partner needs convincing, Angelisse will do so!). And she'll respect your budget. But you will also receive so much more in broad design help than you could possibly imagine when just thinking about "color". The pictures below are of three projects, but we've used her services for more than 12 condo units and for 3 exteriors, each with a variety of eras. For each she made us aware of how maintaining the building's identity is important to outcomes, how flowers and plant colors build on the buildings' palette, how each room has spacial value beyond what may currently exist, and how much loved personal items contribute to developing your home's palette. Her consult allowed me to design the kitchen of my dreams, saving us on design/architecture costs, while allowing us to stay within budget with less expensive accessories. (I learned soooo much about space utilization from that first consult. Wow, how I've used her knowledge since then!!!) Her color choices built an East Coast aesthetic in our four-plex, and a Moroccan vibe for our 6-plex, both of which resulted in very high rental income, great tenants, and few vacancies. As other reviewers have mentioned, she works quickly and efficiently. (Don't let the high hourly fee scare you! It will be worth it to have a palette from which to choose flooring, countertops, wall colors, plants, wood stains, etc.) Her demeanor is more of an engineer customizing your space, or building, to satisfy the most users. She is NOT a flighty, overly-emotional interior decorator from HGTV.(LOL) Having a very engineering minded partner, as in my case, meant Angelisse's communication style worked to sooth our differences, facilitating a faster agreement so we could keep the projects moving forward. Again, call her FIRST. You'll be so happy you did.

Angelisse Karol is an expert at picking out exterior and interior colors for any room and any house. She has been helping me for over fifteen years on various projects. I have been ecstatic about her color selections and design counseling. She has an amazing eye for picking out colors, can do it quickly and is affordable. I highly recommend her.

We used Angelisse for picking colors and finishes for a large remodel of a 1936 traditional cottage in Piedmont. She was outstanding and extraordinarily efficient. Her eye for color and nuance of shade and light blew me away. She not only chose paint colors for every room, she chose which shade of backsplash (ann sacks has about a million colors and Angelisse zeroed in on the one that looks outstanding with our marble counter), which finish of Bluestar stove, and what height of light fixtures I wanted. She also helped with fabric and wallpaper choices. The colors all look beautiful together, she picked things I wouldn't have picked myself and I don't regret a single one of her choices. She also is quite practical and factored in our kids into making good choices in terms of finishes and fabrics. She is opinionated but respectful and a good listener. She will push you when she thinks you are making a mistake, not just agree with you regardless- a trait I really appreciated and respected. She heard what I thought I wanted, and figured out what I really wanted and gave it to us. Delight to work with and would wholeheartedly recommend again.

Angelisse not only has an eye for color, she knows a lot about architecture. By combining her knowledge of both she helped us choose the perfect shade of sage green house paint and suggested ways to make our trim "pop." Also, she pointed out a row of tiles under our front door, informing us they were colored tiles that had been painted over white. We removed the white paint and were thrilled to reveal this hidden gem.
