Working with DW Design & Decor eased the anxiety of moving from my home of 50 years. Denise's 3D layouts made it easy to place my furniture where it looked and worked best, and her professional knowledge helped me to choose just the right paint colors and to place my artwork to the best advantage.

It was wonderful working with Denise! Everyone who has seen the finished room can’t believe the transformation. Denise brought a great group of professionals together from an architect to general contractor + plumber and electrician. Everyone worked great together. Denise also managed to please and incorporate all the various requests of my kids and me to. She arranged great furniture that was all delivered on time and set up in place by friendly helpful guys. From the beautiful wooden game table that flips from a built-in chess board for one son then back to a solid table with drink holder pullouts for the poker nights of a different son and the unbelievably fabulous ottoman that turns into a very comfortable twin bed. My daughter has managed to sleep 8 girls at once!

Denise creates an environment of teamwork and good communication for all her projects including the condominium that we fully renovated together. She and her team made sure to have all design decisions and materials onsite so that me and my contractors could do our job well and stay on schedule. My husband and I searched for a while to find the perfect fit for our home redesign. When we met Denise we knew she was going to be that person! We are so happy we picked Denise to design our kitchen. We wanted our new kitchen to look like it belonged in our 1920s house. We wanted a spacious, light, and practical room that we loved to be in. And we wanted all of this on a moderate budget. With her experience and inspired eye, Denise achieved all of this and more. She was also a real pleasure to work with. Denise Wenacur helped me design my newly enlarged family room addition. We had so much more space that we needed to update it with new, comfortable pieces. My main concern was that I would feel comfortable sitting in the new chairs and that we would be able to enjoy the beautiful views of our garden through unblocked windows. Denise really came through with her unique resources. She set up visits to several trade showrooms so that I could sample many different style chairs for comfort and view accent pieces as well. We found two chairs that I really enjoy sitting and reading in, and she had a large curved sectional custom made to my personal requirements which also looks beautiful in the room. She came up with lovely roman blind window treatments that finish off the new windows but do not block our garden view or the warm sunlight in any way. We are so happy with our new family room. It is truly a reflection of us!

I retained DW Design & Decor LLC for two projects. The first was the redesign of my great room in my home in Montebello, New York and the second was decorating my living room/dining room combination in my NYC apartment after we sold our Montebello home and moved to Manhattan. Working with Denise on both projects was fun and we had a wonderful time working together. Denise is very experienced, works within agreed budgets and delivers on a timely basis. She is also very creative and has wonderful taste and style. In our great room in Montebello, which was a two-story, large cathedral-type room with 7 large windows, she choose a beautiful gray, Chelsea Gray, for the room. It made the room pop and mirrored the backsplash in the kitchen which could be seen from the room. Then we worked together to choose each object in the room, from the beautiful oriental rug to the sofa and all the other furniture. The room came together like a beautiful puzzle. After Denise completed the room, we had many wonderful occasions there and each was even more enjoyable because of the lovely surroundings. Almost 5 years later, we sold our home and found a wonderful space in Manhattan that we are renting for a few years. Because we were renting, I did not want to spend the money to buy new furniture and wanted to use the furniture that we had purchased just a few years before. I was overwhelmed trying to decide what to take from the house to the apartment, what to put in storage and what to sell. I called Denise and she visited the house and the apartment, helped me choose the furniture to take to the apartment and designed two plans that were each terrific. We choose one that allowed for easier entertaining using our dining table. We also picked out broadloom carpet that we had made into an area rug. The room turned out beautifully and we are going to entertain on Thanksgiving. I truly recommend DW Design & Decor. You will be thrilled!

Denise has helped me with many projects over the years from window treatments in both the living and dining rooms, a redo of my basement recreation area, color selection for my daughter's bedroom, to the design of my new kitchen addition. All the projects have been very different and each with it's own set of issues. The basement redo consisted of finding a way to use the existing gray panelling and give it a contemporary feel ( a white wash glaze) as well finding the most optimal furniture placement. Denise also assisted with picking out the carpet, sectional, and fabric for the window treatments. Our most recent project is my new kitchen. Denies assisted in the cabinets design selection, cabinet function/design, i.e. what each cabinet's purpose is, selecting the floor tile, wall color, cabinet color, lighting, etc. the whole thing. We are still in the process of completing the project, so no pictures yet, but Denise has been instrumental in every step of the project and I am very pleased with her work and dedication to the project. I would highly recommend Denise.

I had the most extraordinary experience with DW Design & Decor this past April! I needed to redesign my existing living room/dining room space to accommodate my daughter's bridal shower. Both rooms were heavily traditional in decor. A year or so earlier, I had just completed a rather large addition to the kitchen/family room area of the house and was a a total loss as to how to convert the living room and dining room space to a transitional look. Upon our initial meeting, Denise Wenacur and her assistant knew immediately what I was looking to do and together, we set out to accomplish our goal in just two short phases. Paint colors were immediately recommended and once the rooms were painted, we then moved to Phase II. Denise recommended to most exquisite fabrics for window treatments and re-upholstery of my living room sofa and oversized chair and ottoman that I was unwilling to relinquish. As with any wedding, I had certain budget restrictions. Denise and her crew of consummate professionals adhered to that constraint and worked in an extremely timely manner to accomplish transforming the space into an absolutely beautiful motif for the bridal shower. I can't say enough about happy I have been with DW Design & Decor and look forward to my next decorating project! Denise is a class act and phenomenal designer. We were referred to her by a close friend when we purchased our new home in Westchester County the end of last year. We relocated from the city and went from living in a small condo to a large home. We didn't even know where to start with filling in all the space and creating an inviting, contemporary space that could now be used for entertaining and living. We gave her a budget, met with her so she could get a sense of who we were and what we would use the space for, and some ideas of the styles we liked. She took all that information and created the most amazing home for us. We had some challenging areas in our new home that we deemed unusable; she solved each of those challenges for us by pulling in her team of experts to tackle each design issue. We now use every inch of our house and we love it. What I appreciated the most about her was her service. We were never in the dark, she openly communicated with us and she met deadlines and kept our project going until it was completed. We had heard horror stories about other designers that never complete projects and are impossible to get a hold of. Not Denise. She was prompt, professional, endearing and a pleasure to work with. Not to mention her years of experience in her industry have allowed her to build a team that was just as responsive as her. Deb with window treatments is a true expert, Julia with the faux painting projects we had her do blew us away and the contractor she referred to do some minor work was friendly and professional and his work was flawless. Overall this was such a fun and great experience to work with Denise and her team. I would refer her to anyone that needs a designer for their home. Denise did a wonderful job with our blank-slate basement.
