Lina was referred to me by a friend. She asked for 2500 dollars for the design of a bedroom and a living room. Because she is a friend of a friend I gave her the money. Lina did not explain what this money was exactly for nor she provided me with a contract to explain what will happen. I provided Lina with the name of the furniture store she I want to purchase from. Lina provided me with extremely poor quality designs that I did not like and the name of other furniture stores that she is affiliated with. I did not like the designs and I asked Lina to be compensated for her time and give me the rest of the money. Lina refused to give me any money. She basically stole my money. Had she provided me with a contract and explained to me what this money is for, I would have never given her the money. Of coarse it is my mistake to pay someone without exactly knowing what I am paying for but did not expect that she is a thief and would accept money for which she did not do any work for!!! Never ever would I recommend her service to anyone. Be careful she is a scam!!

Working with Lina was so much fun! The entire process was amazing. Lina designed 3 rooms in our home: living room, dining room, and family room. I loved how she didn't go crazy with pricey items and still created incredible rooms that are functional as well as beautiful. I would definitely recommend Lina. She was professional and responsive and lots of fun to work with. I would also recommend Lina to anyone who, like me, loves beautiful spaces but just doesn't have the eye to create them. Lina, thank you for taking us one step closer to our goal of a finished house (in my long list of to dos).

Lina is a very professional, thorough and talented designer! She listened to my ideas, likes and dislikes and delivered a beautiful kitchen which I am proud to entertain in. Her attention to detail is very impressive. I would hire her again in the future!

In 2013 Lina created a kitchen/family room design for our home in Massachusetts that we tried to sell in 2011. I was very frustrated by the space - the kitchen was a U-Shaped and open to a rather too-small family room. I didn't want to waste my money - again, so I went on Thumbtack.com to find a "decorator" (I didn't know Houzz had this feature at the time and I didn't know the difference between a "Designer" and a "Decorator"). I received quite a few responses and I chose Lina because her portfolio showed that she had "transformed" spaces - not just made them look pretty. The design she developed was AMAZING. I was so impressed by her talent and imagination. The space she designed was gorgeous, useful and efficient. She took risks that I never would have and they were brilliant! We ended up selling the Massachusetts house before we did the work. But we were so impressed, we brought her to our new home in North Carolina - a fixer upper and even more of a challenge. And again, she created an amazing design with incredible detail. We just love it and can't wait to get started. She is even helping us find a qualified contractor because the ones she works with are in Massachusetts. I can't praise Lina enough. Lina designed six rooms in my house and 4 closets (one pantry). Five rooms are complete and we love them. She understood our preferences and put something together that was simple, elegant and classic. Lina takes care of everything and knows how to deal with contractors. She charges a fix rate , is very responsive to questions, and generous with her time . Lina knows how to get things completed. We didn't work within a budget and I would estimate that we spent $15000-25000 [\per room including the furniture to decorate. i will use Lina again for other projects.

This is the 2nd time I have worked with Lina Khatib Interiors! Several years ago Lina completely redesigned the entire main living level of my home. This time I needed a pet friendly area rug that could compliment my large traditional style bed. She had great suggestions and explained how I could build on the decor with ideas for lamps, window treatments and a chaise! Lina has a fabulous sense of style and I look forward to working with her in the future! Actually I do not make any major decorative purchases without Lina's approval!
