High End Interior Design Studio, Specializing in Innovative Work
Rethink Design Studio is an interior architectural design studio based in Savannah, owned by husband-wife duo Joel and Erika Snayd. Since the big move from NYC in 2003, we have been pushing the boundaries of design and ask the questions most clients never think to ask. We specialize in environments for the modern dweller, while paying homage to the structure’s past and architecture (when applicable). Our signature aesthetic is adding the “urban” to “lowcountry” living. Our goal with every project is to infuse the personality of our clients and produce a warm environment that’s smart, well-balanced and inspired. With more than thirteen years of commercial and residential experience, we don’t just know the lingo for “design / build”, we live it. From the first meeting to the reveal, our process ensures a tailored, one-of-a-kind experience that is uniquely yours.

I would like to say a few words reviewing our experience with Rethink Design Studio. In the past several months we have worked with this design group to update a guest bathroom. We found the firm professional, honest, and very creative. All of the sub contractors were tried and true. We have been so pleased with the outcome that we have hired them to update our master bathroom.

Working with Joel and Erica was a great experience. Damage from Hurricane Matthew left us with some choices. Should we keep our old exterior design or boost the curb appeal? The answer was easy with the plans from Erica and Joel. They were easy to work with and very responsive to inquiries. We were able to stay on budget pretty much. Very professional and personable.

Their transformation of my main floor living space exceeded my expectations and came in pretty close to budget! I would highly recommend their services.

Erika, Joel and the Rethink Design Studio team has literally blown our minds! We hired them on a major commercial renovation project on a large historic, commercial building in our town of Bluffton, SC as well as a complete interior redesign of our sandwich shop and catering company. Not only is the project MORE beautiful than we could have ever dreamed, the process in which they worked with us was pure perfection and ease. They took an incredible amount of stress off of our shoulders, executed flawlessly to the end. Communication was clear and they were delivered under budget! I can't say enough things about Rethink Design Studio! Their style is second to none! Most locations and homes, you see one, you see them all....not their style...it is unique, up-and-coming, and they listen to your needs.

Joel, Erika, Sarah, and the entire team at ReThink have completely redone our house over the course of the last 7 years or so. They've taken it from a more traditional home, to something more youthful and fresh, and have made design adjustments to meet the changing needs of our family along the way. My husband and I are a design team's nightmare--we know what we don't like, but aren't exactly sure what we do like. Joel and his team took the time to get to know us as a family, enabling them to transform our home into an expression of who we are. We love our home! Thanks ReThink!!!!

A great group to work with after being quite impressed with some of their finished projects in several homes as well as commercial venues. Wanted to bring some of their fresh eclectic talent out to Hilton head after what I had seen in savannah! Worked well with my contractor throughout the entire gut and rebuild process and had a smashing finale to enjoy. Beginning the plans for 2 future projects and know I will be just as pleased. Creativity and customer service are a great combination in a design team selection. They will always get my vote

My husband I live in Atlanta and recently built a beach house on Tybee Island and used the Rethink Design Studio to help with the interior design work. Using his architectural background, Joel was able to identify and correct many design issues and find opportunities to optimize our space. He and his team did a great job interpreting our taste and creating a home that is beautiful, cozy and reflective of our vision. They were incredibly organized and we were impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail and creativity. We cannot say enough good things about them and hope that we have an chance to work with them again.

Top notch service. I had hired Rethink Design Studio to help with material selections while building our new home. Upon inquiry, the response time was immediate. Timing was critical as I was needing to make many decisions in a short period of time. I worked with Sarah, who was flexible and helped me to meet necessary deadlines. Sarah was able to guide me seamlessly through a process which I found overwhelming and made it virtually stress free. She directed me towards materials of the highest quality that were still within my budget. Undoubtedly, she saved me from making costly mistakes that I would later regret. I had only planned on using Rethink Design Studio for this part of my project, but now I know that I will plan on using them for the rest of what it will entail to make our home beautiful!

Decided to hire Rethink Design Co after reviewing their website and couldn't have made a better decision. Their design vision and ability to help us reimagine our house is unparalleled. They truly transformed our run of the mill home into something truly unique and special. What they created for us was better than our wildest dreams and everyone who visits our home says it looks like something out of a magazine or home improvement TV show. They were very professional and transparent throughout the project, ensuring we were aware of additional costs beyond the initial budget. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to transform their home or space into something truly awe inspiring. You will not be disappointed. Rethink Design has been instrumental in helping make our home the magnificent & relaxing place it is today. Rethink mixes old and new, listens and offers fresh options with many that don’t break the bank. Rethink Design team does an excellent job steering all of those involved. They were heavily involved from the beginning and helped oversee contractors/vendors to ensure the end design was fulfilled. It is amazing how many details they handled from the design concept plan and drawings, construction management and furniture specification / installation. If we move, we would certainly call Rethink Design to help us again.

We are extremely happy with the work done by Rethink Design Studio on our vacation condo. They have helped us develop a very custom design that reflects both our personalities and interests, while addressing our practical needs. The level of communication is very good and they have enthusiastically pushed the project forward despite a somewhat short timeline. After only a few discussions we immediately felt like Rethink "got us" and their suggestions are typically right on the money. Speaking of money, they have been very respectful of our budget and completely transparent with respect to the commercial aspect of the design process. It has been a very positive experience working with Rethink and their talented team of professionals.

Joel and Erika Snayd assisted us with the design of Mirabelle Suites and Cafe, they did an excellent job. Joel has a great sense of style and his team is great at executing a project from start to finish. They even coordinated our grand opening party. We have received numerous compliments on the design of the suites as well as the Cafe since the completion of the project. Rethink was a big part of making Mirabelle a special place. It was an excellent experience working with Joel. From our first meeting, he listened to what I was trying to achieve and he gave us a house that far exceeded our expectations. Joel was with me every step of the way and oversaw every detail while the project was in the construction phase. Joel began with his original design plans for the renovation, but we ended up having to demolish the old house. He then added to his renovation design plan and we had the size house that we needed to accommodate the entire family. Joel handled everything and guided us in making all of the finishing choices. Without his vision we would not have the house we really wanted.Joel treated the project as if it were his own home and you cannot ask for more that that.

I have been working with Joel from Rethink design for several years and am always awestruck with the end result of his interiors. I work with many design firms and have gotten to the point that I can generally pick out a designers work without knowing the name due to a certain repetition of aesthetic. This is not the case with Rethink. The only repetition with them is to repeatedly surprise me with knock-out original concepts for each client.

Joel turned a small cramped home office into an inspiring space to work. My husband and I knew we loved Joel's design style and we also knew that he would listen to our needs. The space turned out better than we ever could have imagined AND he stayed within the budget we gave him. It was a perfect paring and I look forward to working with Joel and his entire team from Rethink Design Studio again soon.
