My wife and I could not have had an overall better experience working with Smith + Gsell. Susan and Renee listened to our ideas, but they instinctively stayed true to the architecture of the home. What they created was perfect in a way we could have never imagined. Susan and Renee’s ability to take ideas and create a beautiful finished product was impressive. It was clear they spent a lot of time and consideration thinking about and researching their designs, room functionality ideas, color palate, furniture selection, and finishing décor. Each room flowed together with rhyme and reason. The excitement and energy that Smith + Gsell, along with their extremely talented and professional team of vendors brought to our project is all that one could hope for. I would highly recommend for any future projects.

Smith + Gsell was a tremendous help for us when building our custom home. From reviewing plans to interior finishes to furniture, their expertise was invaluable every step of the way. As a family with young children, we had limited time to pick out finishes. Smith + Gsell would meet the vendors ahead of time and narrow down selections so it wouldn't be so overwhelming and time consuming for us. They understood our vision for the home yet realized the need for functionality and brought it all together. I have already recommended them to friends!!

My husband and I built a home on Figure Eight Island last year. We were looking for an Interior Design Firm that would give our home a CLASSIC but CHIC design. We found the PERFECT design team when a friend suggested we contact Smith and Gsell! From day one they were a HUGE help in deciding paint colors, space design, light fixture sizes and finishes, flooring and many other details. Smith and Gsell also keep up with the latest resources in the design world and can find that perfect piece you are looking for (which they did for me many times). An absolute PLUS in getting to know these girls were their genuinely WARM and FUN personalities. There was a lot of comfort in knowing if I ever had a quick question or needed advice they were always a text away:) Thanks Smith and Gsell !!!!

Three words immediately come to mind to describe this company: Professional. Personal. Perfection. My family of five purchased a home in a wonderful neighborhood, but it needed a lot of TLC both inside and out. Feeling overwhelmed, we solicited the help of this company. There was great attention to detail and consideration given to our lifestyle, vision and budget, so we embarked on redesigning the entire home. We started with the foundations, that included wall modifications, paint colors (inside and out), carpeting, flooring and drapery. We then layered in the ‘fun’ things of custom furniture, accessories and unique items found throughout our community. What started out as a daunting project, become a process that we treasured! Only true professionals could produce that outcome. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this company.

I bought a house on the Inter-coastal Waterway that had few good views of the water. Renee and Susan had the vision of taking down all the walls on the main floor and opening up the entire area to the water. I would give them 5 stars in all aspects of the job to include the design; hiring the GC; communicating with the GC and me to make sure we were always on the same page; recommending all paint colors, floor finishes, and furniture; meeting time deadlines and staying on budget. The final result far exceeded my expectations. Renee and Susan are professional yet a tremendous joy to work with. The biggest compliment I can give them is that we are friends at the end of the project. I highly recommend Smith + Gsell.

My husband and I were thrilled with the caliber of their expertise. We moved into a new home without bringing our old furniture. We used their recommendations for everything: paint colors, furniture selections, fabrics, drapery and lighting fixtures. We found them extremely helpful and knew that they listened to any and all of our concerns. They met with our landscaper and not only helped with plant selections but also designed a lovely fountain. Our experience with them was terrific. Their vision was tasteful and creative. Overall i would highly recommend them for any type of design need.
