Turn Key Decor

I’ll start with the bottom line: I give Erica and Kim of Turn Key Decor the highest marks and recommend them without hesitation. They are true professionals with deep experience in all aspects of design, remodel and decorating. Project details: We did a whole house interior remodel. The house is about 3500 sf. We, as owners, chose to stage the project in three phases as we wanted to live in the house during the project. The remodel work took about nine months. Redecorating continued for some time after. Turn Key planned the project, brought contractors for interviews and eventual selection, and served as the Project Manager supervising the Contractor. Turn Key guided the selection of all components, finishes, flooring, cabinetry, tile, stone, carpets, appliances, sinks and faucets, mirrors, lighting, window coverings, furniture and much more. Literally everything. Every room in the house had remodel work or redecorating. The master bath, kitchen and laundry room were complete tear-outs. The family room received a new fireplace. Seven floor to ceiling columns were removed from the living room, two more from the master bath. 100% of the cabinetry was replaced. We were so fortunate to have hired the right company for the project. They brought success to our efforts and hopes. “I love it when a plan comes together”. How true it is! And lastly, Erica and Kim are a pleasure to work with. They my highest endorsement.

Every time I walk through my apartment door, I am in awe of my surroundings and so pleased that I decided to invest in the services of Turn Key Decor. Erica and Kim truly designed with me in mind and included me in all the steps along the way. My place is a reflection of who I am which is what I truly wanted.

We hired Erica and Kim when we moved to Reno. At first the scope of the project was to remodel 3 bathrooms, construction projects (fireplace and post removal) recommend paint, flooring, and provide project management. The project expanded when we realized that a complete kitchen remodel would be required. We asked for Turn Key designs help with this and they agreed to take it on. Unfortunately we did not do my due diligence before we hired them. They showed up at our home with their construction team (Kurt- which is the Only talent in the group)and we watched Erica and Kim talk about "exploiting this space" and "Robbing Peter to Pay Paul to Exploit This Space" while they awkwardly tried to "Design On The Fly" with their non functioning i-pads. That why I gave them 2 stars- it was my fault for hiring them, but out of desperation I did. Their designs were amateurish, measurements completely off, their sub- contractors were terrible (worst painter Ever!) They dont respond to communications, Kim was late to every meeting and complained about how hard it is to drive from Graegle Ca to Reno. But Erica certainly took our money! $8000 for designs and project management. Nothing was done in a timely manner. Our kitchen island was positioned in the middle of our family room Our hall bath shower tile cut out wasn't big enough to hold a full size shampoo bottle which was a requirement. Erica told us to fix it we would have to pay. It was her fault! We are still dealing with the plumbing company rhat she recommended. We have issues with many things that they did. No, I would definitely not recommend Turn Key Design.

Erica and Kim are incredible friendly and down to earth. They have fantastic ideas and are very knowledgeable when it comes to what products and finishes are best to fit the budget. Very straight forward and a pleasure to work with, cannot recommend highly enough.

Erika was absolutely wonderful to work with.. we had mistakenly tried to choose some flooring in our home that ended up getting damaged quickly and being ugly. Next time around we decided we should get some professional help. Erika helped us select beautiful flooring, re-do our fireplace, knock down some walls and get custom draperies that looked the same as our raw silk ones but these were actually washable! Anyway, we can’t recommend her enough. Paying a little money on the front end for a designer resulted in big savings on the back end. We are delighted and our home finally feels like it is truly our tastes rather than the previous owners style. She really helped us make our house feel like a home

Turn Key Decor My husband and I recently purchased a new house in the Reno area. With such a major investment we wanted to make the most of our own furniture, artwork and decor to create a home that was both comfortable and stylish. Fortunately we found Erica Tawzer, interior designer, and owner of Turn Key Decor. Erica listened to us and learned the kind of ambiance we wanted to project in our new home. Though her knowledge and expertise, she incorporated these ideas into a conceptional plan that met our expectations and turned what we had into a home that we are proud to show off and we couldn’t be happier. We enjoyed working with Erica and highly recommend Turn Key Decor for all your decorating and interior design needs.

Erica was great! She took my vague ideas of what I liked and found things that suited my tastes. She is also very prompt in responding to questions and concerns. I would highly recommend her.

We purchased a new home and I needed help with designing. Erica was a huge help as she had to navigate between my husband,(who had his thoughts) and myself with multiple trips to the design center, over the phone, emails and drawings. The results were outstanding, colors, counter tops, back splashes, shower & flooring tile. The last part was room design with lots of options for us. I will use and recommend Erica anytime.

My experience with Erica was absolutely fantastic. As a clueless first time home buyer, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when it came to remodeling my home. All I wanted to do was paint and install laminate floors in the bedrooms and tile in a few key areas of the house. I thought it would be simple to pick the materials and then have them installed, but as it turns out, there are almost a million considerations, pros, cons, compromises and decisions to make before that happens, and then some while it's finally happening. I was in over my head, but thankfully Erica was there to help. Equipped with her own great ideas and an army of pics on Pinterest, Erica was able to hone in on our vision and help us identify a focused list of options to consider. Erica shared valuable insight into how the materials are installed and other things to consider as next steps and into the future, which also helped us understand the process. On top of all that, her relationships with vendors got us access to high quality materials not available elsewhere in town, and all at a great price too. Like I said right at the beginning... We moved to the Reno area on a very tight budget and downsized by 1300 sq ft. Erica found a way to make our treasures fit the new space beautifully and helped us add new cabinetry that was beautiful and more than doubled the available storage space all while remaining on budget. When I wanted handholding she was happy to do it. When I wanted to do the searching she gave me great sites to view.

Erica was wonderful to work with. We have a new home and needed a complete design for living room, dining room and master bedroom. We are so happy with everything and would recommend her to anyone looking for a design professional.
