After losing 3 trees to high winds, my husband and I wanted a wind-proof structure custom built out of steel to shade our patio. What a stroke of luck to have found A&E in an online search for a metal fabricator in northern Colorado! The shade structure they built for us is an absolute delight, both functionally and aesthetically. The workmanship is outstanding and the design beautifully fulfills the requirements we stipulated. From initial (free!) consultation through final day of fabrication, Adam and Elizabeth far exceeded our expectations in all aspects of their work. Their cost estimates were far more detailed and far more reasonable than two other contractors we consulted. A&E is exceptionally conscientious about ensuring prompt and thorough communication with their customer. They listen attentively and are honest and generous with information and advice. Working from our crude sketches and some photographs of desirable structures accompanied by a verbal list of modifications and options we’d prefer, Adam and Elizabeth researched materials options to develop a variety of project estimates that made design and materials decision-making quick and easy. When a local fire ban prohibiting outdoor welding threatened a 2-month suspension to work on our project, Elizabeth immediately made the necessary series of contacts with County officials, law enforcement, and local fire authorities to obtain a waiver allowing work to proceed on schedule. Adam, Elizabeth, and their employee, Dennis, were all a joy to work with. They are all friendly and engaging people who are exceptionally talented at what they do. My husband and I now find ourselves dreaming up additional custom-metal projects to give us an opportunity to hire them again!
