Kathy at accent on kitchens is absolutely wonderful! She guided us from ideas to design all the way through to completion. She was extremely easy to work with and would reply promptly to any questions or concerns. If there was an idea that she thought really wouldn't work she would explain to us why, and she was always right. Her general contractor Chris and his crew were an aboslute delight to work with. So proffesional, courteous, very concsious of detail. They worked so hard to keep the area as clean and dust free as possible. Icould go on forever, so I will just say that give Kathy a call, she will NOT dissapoint you.

We are very pleased with the updated kitchen that Lisa O'Brien designed for our townhouse. We added a desk, a cabinet with a wine rack, as well as replacing all the upper cabinets to the ceiling, and replacing the doors and drawer fonts on the lower cabinets. The quality of the cabinets is excellent. We also updated the pantry. She was very professional, prompt, and pleasant to work with. The carpenter she recommended was excellent as well. Our kitchen renovation was not for the faint of heart - a 50+ year old kitchen with unusable cabinetry, unworkable appliances, and uneven walls, all situated on a relatively small footprint. The ask - a clean, modern aesthetic, high in style but with maximum functionality. Enter Lisa O'Brien of Accent on Kitchens. Arriving at our home, packing a tape measure, a drawing pad, and a houseful of creativity. Lisa produced not one, but three unique and exciting designs. Thus began our journey through the intricacies of storage design, color and material selection, and everything in-between. And through it all, Lisa was there, offering her ideas and insights, her experiences and expertise, her work ethic and sense of humor. No question was insignificant, no call went unreturned, no opinion unconsidered. We write this review, having just wrapped up a family gathering in our home with still more compliments received on our beautiful kitchen. Thank you Lisa! There are so many decisions that need to be made to pull off a successful kitchen renovation. One of the first and BEST decisions we made was to work with Lisa O’Brien of Accent on Kitchens in North Hampton, NH. We started designing the kitchen with Lisa before the pandemic and even though it took over 15 months to complete our project she stuck with us to make sure the kitchen design stayed on tack and was completed correctly. We wanted to design our house to have some areas age-in-place and ADA compliant . It turned out that Lisa was experienced in this area which was super helpful. She also gave us good advice on selecting an induction stove top and even what kind of pots and pans to buy! During the installation of the actual cabinets she was just a phone call away and came right over to answer questions and make sure the install continued according to the design. The installers looked forward to working with her and having her on site. Lisa even went with us to help pick out the countertop and also was there for templating and installation. We had an issue with the first piece of granite we selected being damaged during shipment and Lisa helped us navigate selecting another! One major issue that Lisa helped us out with was our kitchen sink. We had ordered a Blanco silgranit sink online and it arrived with cracks. The company replaced it quickly but unfortunately this one was also cracked. They refunded us our money and then we went with a local distributor. Another crack! At this point the countertop had been templated and installed awaiting the sink. I just wanted to cry! But....... Lisa to the rescue!! She had connections and found a stainless steel sink that would fit. Yay! Problem solved! We now have a kitchen which we love! It has clean lines and lots of storage. The cabinets are of excellent quality built by Candlelight in natural cherry, the countertop, backsplash and windowsill are granite, the floor is cork and island top is oiled walnut. Other custom design features include compost bin mounted into the countertop, double wall ovens and a vertical wall mounted steam radiator. Lisa and her personal touch made all the difference through the long months of our house renovation. She is a true professional with a cheerful attitude and interesting ideas and solutions. She even stopped by after we moved in to help us decide where to put what in the kitchen for ease of use and accessibility. Great personalized assistance with layout, design and quality material. Lisa was very attentive to my likes, dislikes and budget and had some great ideas to help me make a decision on upgrading my kitchen. I saw a beautiful kitchen advertised in New Hampshire home by accent on kitchen. I was a bit hesitant at first, worried about price and construction . Lisa from accent on kitchens worked with me . She is very professional and I was amazed at how she put together a kitchen design that was perfect for me. We worked within a workable budget and had a lot of helpful suggestions to make this work.Her contractor team was also very professional , punctual, and kept the place clean. Chris from interior woodcraft did an amazing job. The cabinet detailing is beautiful and he also did the tiling. Bottom line is I would definitely recommend accent on kitchens if you need to redo your kitchen.

When we first started our search for a kitchen designer we met with several well known companies in the NH seacoast area. We finally met Cathy Box , owner of Accent on Kitchens. Cathy is a personable, outstanding professional to work with who has very creative ideas. She made it a priority to get to know us well and after meeting with her several times she was able to come up with a beautiful design that met all our needs. While the kitchen is stunning it is also quite functional. She thought of everything! We highly recommend Cathy and wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

When we moved into our new home we really didn't like the kitchen; everything was white, off-white & maybe white (see photo). I passed Accent On Kitchens on my way to school & decided to go in - one of my best decisions. Cathy was polite, knew what I was looking for (even though I could only describe my thoughts roughly) & helped me find exactly what I wanted. A butcher-block countertop, slate tiles, kitchen sink & some paint later our kitchen was transformed (see photos). Cathy was wonderful to work with. Really knows her stuff. Had excellent suggestions that made our small remodel get a bigger bang for the buck. Has an excellent installer too. Last year I worked with Cathy Box of Accent on Kitchens to design a kitchen and bathrooms for our new house. The first thing that struck me was Cathy's enthusiasm. She was truly excited to work with me on our project. From picking out the cabinets to visiting the granite dealer with me to choose stone for the bathrooms to the time she spent with me looking at cabinet knobs and pulls she made the experience fun, and as stress free as building a kitchen could be. We have been in our home for a few months now and I am very happy every morning when I come down to my kitchen! The cabinets look great and Cathy added many little details that give our kitchen and bathrooms character. The stone we chose together looks perfect as do the knobs and pulls. Cathy was always available by phone, text or email. I was very glad to have her energy and expertise on this project which I had thought would be daunting, but turned out to be a lot of fun instead.

Cathy took my dream and made it happen. She was so easy to work with, listened carefully and consulted with me from start to finish. My 1930 kitchen had only a sink and a radiator and Cathy created a fabulous custom kitchen that was my dream kitchen. Cathy is a talented designer and all around nice person. We had been shopping around for a while trying to find someone to help us make our vision for our little kitchen a reality. One Saturday while driving to another kitchen supplier we saw the sign for Accents on Kitchens and decided to check it out. We found Cathy working with a customer, but after we had looked around for a few minutes she excused herself to talk with us and to tell us she’d be busy for an hour and we could wait or schedule a time to come back. We found this level of professionalism to be very refreshing and set up an appointment to come back. This professionalism was only the beginning. We found Cathy to be very knowledgeable not only with cabinets but she has a great knowledge of framing and construction, plumbing, electrical, appliances, hardware and countertops. She was able to understand what we were thinking and put it into a design that she still does on a drafting table, something I appreciated very much. She produced color renderings of her design that were wonderful. We were able to see our new kitchen in two different finishes helping to make our decision much easier. We ended up with a show piece kitchen in our opinion, that is far more functional than we had with much more usable space. I’d tell anyone if you’re looking for someone who knows kitchens and will be as enthusiastic about your project as you are go see Cathy at Accents on kitchens.

When I met Cathy I was frustrated from having made the mistake of trying to work with a big box company. I explained what I had been through & Cathy was very positive and assuring that together we could get this project done without too much stress. I had a good idea of what I wanted and Cathy didn't seem to mind that. For example, I found my own pulls & knobs and not only was she not displeased with me, but she told me that she really liked them. She gave me guidance where I needed it & suggestions when I asked for them. I already knew what I wanted for countertop and I was able to pick out the cabinets quickly. She also suggested sources for flooring, new appliances, contractors & plumbing supplies (faucet & sink). I used almost all of her suggested sources and was pleased with them. She did all of the measuring and ordering. I was always able to contact her and she was always quick to get back to me. I never hesitated to ask her a question or ask her to share her knowledge & experience. As with any project, there were days when I just wanted to escape the mess but I am very pleased with the final outcome and I would do it all again for this result. I love my new kitchen & credit Cathy with helping me to get the end result that I wanted.

We teamed with Digger at Accent On Kitchen, LLC for our 2015 addition/renovation kitchen project. Our new space was large and uniquely shaped, which may have proved a challenge for other designers; however, Digger created an amazing one-of-a-kind design that not only maximized efficiency and visual impact, but truly made the room one cohesive space. We had the fortunate experience of working with Digger from Accent on Kitchens for our total kitchen renovation. From design to installation to completion the project was amazing. Our goal was to have an abundance of cabinet space and a center island that included a large cooktop and seating for six adults. Our goals were nonetheless exceeded. We had the fortunate experience of working with Kathy Box, proprietor of Accent on Kitchens, to remodel the kitchen of our 1913 colonial federal home. It was a challenging task to create a "new" space that would keep with the period of the home. Kathy, offered wonderful and creative ideas to achieve a custom kitchen with a seamless flow in our home. She accepted the many challenges that were presented with a true creative vision, openness, and enthusiasm. We love the kitchen that Kathy designed and 3 years later, there is nothing that we would change. I recall a specific outing to find granite for our countertops; this would be the 3rd such outing. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, and after 8 hours of going in and out of large stone companies in the Boston area, I was discouraged and wanted to settle for something that was only okay by my standards. Kathy wouldn't have it. She said we are NOT settling for anything. We are going to find the perfect granite... and we did! This is one example, of which there were many, as to how she approached the different aspects of our project. Over the past 3 years when little issues would arise, she made herself available to come to the house or call a manufacturer directly. She was along our side for the design and execution of the project and has remained there for the 3 years following. Simply put, you will be lucky to have Kathy, and Accent on Kitchens in your corner. Oh, and did I mention, she always honored our budgetary constraints, almost more than I did.... Accent on Kitchens was exceptional. We hired Kathy to design, draw and plan our new addition/kitchen. From the beginning, Kathy spelled out the steps, procedure, costs & expectations. She is a wonderfully creative designer and with few changes, had our "kitchen ideas" on paper including all the little details in an incredibly short time. From there she created all necessary drawings for our contractors and they LOVED them. Every construction question was easily answered or addresses via the info provided by Kathy. Additionally, she was always available and in constant contact with us or our contractor to make sure our project was moving along smoothly. Kathy was here when our custom cabinets from Candlelight Cabinetry arrived, ensuring all was well & back again for our contractors to field questions. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Accent on Kitchens and highly recommended them. From beginning to end our wants and needs were always their priority and they delivered (including champagne when the project was complete).

Kathy Box provided the kitchen design to incorporate a pantry closet, self closing drawers, and cupboards to the ceiling, which improved our storage tremendously. The natural wood cupboards were a better fit for our home than the painted white ones from the previous owner.This is the fourth kitchen Kathy has assisted us with, tom include former homes and seasonal cottages.
