INSPIRED KITCHEN DESIGN

IKD helped us with our design layout for our Ikea/Semi-handmade kitchen. We are happy with the quality of Ikea cabinets and Semi-handmade fronts and the design we came up with together with IKD. I made several changes over the course of the design process and had lots of questions and they were great at helping me throughout the process. I estimate I saved half of what I would've spent for custom cabinetry. I also learned so much in the process. Overall, we are happy with our experience with Inspired Kitchen Design. I have included before and after pictures.

My husband and I had played around with our own IKEA kitchen designs on the IKEA kitchen planner but found some aspects of it be confusing. We figured if we were looking at spending that much money on a remodel that it would be worth it to consult a professional with much more experience. IKD did not disappoint! They looked at our existing designs and made huge improvements and recommendations for Rev-A-Shelf products that would give our room an even more custom look and functionality. It gave us great peace of mind to know that we would have the required clearances for door and drawer openings as well as the large appliances. IKD specified all the drawer sizes (there were WAY too many options for us to sort through and we wanted almost all drawers rather than doors) and inner drawers in appropriate locations. The drawings and plans they provided were invaluable as we proceeded to assemble the kitchen. Our room turned out even better than we expected! If we ever do a remodel at a future house, we would definitely use IKD again. The service they provide is well worth the fee charged.

We had an incredible experience with Florence! Posting before and after pics of our kitchen. Got a suggestion to try IKEA cabinets and they didn't not disappoint. High quality and beautiful. We decided to use IKD and what a wonderful decsion. Design was amazing and all the parts were ready to go when we ordered from IKEA! Will def use again!

We had such a great experience with IKD when designing our new kitchen. Florence was extremely knowledgeable and really listened to what we wanted. She was also very helpful - every time I had a question, she was very quick to respond. She went the extra mile by helping us make a last-minute change to where we put the microwave, which changed the cabinets we needed to buy. We had been trying to get it all done in time to get a discount on a holiday weekend and she was so helpful in getting us the new design quickly. The whole process was seamless and so easy. We also saved a lot of $ doing it this way and the kitchen looks as nice as it would have if we had spent twice the money on custom cabinets. Could not be happier with our experience!

IKD provided an invaluable service to us in our kitchen renovation. They know IKEA and that alone puts them at a huge advantage when considering seeking advice from design professionals. If you don't plan on hiring a KD ($$) and are using IKEA, then IKD is definitely a worthwhile investment. The design drawings alone are worth it! Just know you will get 3 total designs, an original and two revisions. I could have used double that, lol! So, do all your mockups with colors as much as possible before committing to them for an official revision. Include your appliances as best you can also. The designs they work up really do help visualize your final project. I found them very, very helpful.

It wasn't worth it for me, I didn't get much out the service. Quite expensive and I didnt feel like the designer had a clear vision for my space. I was looking for suggestions and some dialogue to help me find a layout that worked for our family and it felt more like she was looking for me to give design recommendations and then build the mockup around that. Gave up since the package I got only included 2 or 3 revisions and I had used 2 and did not feel close to a spot where I was satisfied and she was clear on the 3 revision boundry. I ended up doing it myself. Service which was not cheap but I would have been happy if I had a bit more hand holding. I got this service since design is not my strong suit and didn't feel like I got the creative direction I was expecting. I am sure they are a great company I just maybe had a different idea of what I was going to receive than what they actually offer. Counted it as a loss on the overall cost of my renovation. I dont think they reached out to followup either but I would have to double check to be sure.

After learning about IKD on Houzz, I contacted them about a plan for enlarging our 2005 woefully pathetic kitchen in the townhouse we purchased in 2017. The plan was invaluable in executing our ideas into reality. We chose not to use a general contractor because of cost and what was really valuable was to have specific drawings related to the electrical and plumbing changes that we needed. We could hand the measurements to them and be sure they would work. More importantly when it came to the installation of our chosen IKEA cabinets, we had everything we needed because of the shopping list IKD provided. The results we achieved were beyond our expectations and we are loving our kitchen. Thanks, IKD.

Really impressed with the quality of work. Florence was incredibly responsive and patient with us despite the rather large, unexpected changed we had on our second design iteration. Will definitely use them again and recommend them.

We considered a handful of high priced local design companies, but really weren't impressed with the designs and product. After seeing some IKD designed kitchens on Houzz and other sites we realized this was the way to go. Our designer Florence chatted with us via Video call going over each cabinet in her designed kitchen. It truly felt and now feels like every inch of space has use or storage. Every shelf and drawer is something IKD "knows" how it opens and what "works" in that space. One other valuable aspect of IKD was that we received great angle measurements from their tools showing clearance from our counter to the walls. Our IKEA installers have installed hundreds of IKEA kitchens. They had prior experience with Semihandmade and other IKEA kitchen front companies. They had never seen some of the creative cabinet box and cabinet front uses suggested by IKD. They were very impressed by the detailed plans and innovative solutions. Making the convenience and quality of IKEA be higher end with drawer & cabinet front vendors turned out to be a very good choice for us. Having IKD lead us through the process was the best choice. The experience could not have been better. I was actually extremely skeptical of using them and now I'm not only a believer, but I tell everyone who is even considering doing an IKEA kitchen to sign up with them ASAP.

Working with the IKD team was a breeze during our 1959 kitchen remodel. I was grateful when the founder reached out to me personally in response to my initial inquiry about their services. Florence was fantastic at communication and coordination, patiently addressing my questions. Javier's brilliant design added space and function to our kitchen. Despite my initial overwhelm, IKD made the process a million times smoother. They even stocked our IKEA cart with all items needed, factoring in extra parts for any scrap fallout. We are in love with our kitchen! Highly recommend this amazing service and company.

While I did not end up following through with a kitchen plan w/IKD, my exemplary experience w/them while simply researching options compelled me to leave a review. I had a handful of questions so called and left a message. My call was immediately returned and I quickly learned all I needed to know, at that point. (Our design was basic and we would really not need anything beyond what I could accomplish myself.) However, later in the process when it came to install I had another question and called back- my call was immediately answered and the gentleman I spoke with (sorry- I don't recall his name) went above and beyond to find information for me that he really could have charged a fee for but did not! Outstanding.
