Lewis & Weldon Custom Kitchens

Best decision we made. We shopped around for a few kitchen design company's on the upper and mid-cape and settled with Lewis & Weldon. We decided to go with them because they make the cabinets themselves, have an amazing reputation and you skip the middleman. The pricing was within budget and working with Chuck and the team was very easy. We did a full kitchen renovation, took down walls, new floors, etc.. Lewis and Weldon worked hand in hand with our builders to make sure everyone was on the same page and the project went flawless. Couldn't be happier, they gave us our dream kitchen.

I want to say thank you, thank you to Lewis & Weldon. Walking into my kitchen each morning puts a smile on my face. The quality and craftsmanship of my new cabinets are top notch! I am constantly getting compliments on how beautiful they are. Don and Erin were fantastic to work with. Their expertise, advice and know-how were invaluable. I would highly recommend them to friends and family for future renovations!

First let me say that I have a beautiful kitchen. But it took over 8 months to complete and it is a SMALL kitchen. Nothing fancy. L&W were behind from the very start. The kitchen was demolished and then construction did not start for a month and a half. We were cooking on a hotplate and microwave for months. Then the pandemic started, but that was not the cause of most delays. The cause was L&W taking on too many projects without enough staff. In the end not only did the project go way over time, it also went way over budget. We were never warned that we were over budget - we just received a huge balance due bill at the end. We ended up paying most of it even though it was not justified so we could simply move on with our lives. So, my advice, buy the cabinets from L&W - they are beautiful. Then hire a different contractor to do the work. Also, please note that the subcontractors were all great. And the work by the L&W people was good as well. But it took way too long, cost way too much, and there were way too many excuses along the way.

Absolutely love my new kitchen! Deborah Kuhfahl is an amazing designer. She made a small typical Cape Cod kitchen beautiful and functional while eliminating almost all dead space. The cabinets are high quality and can not be compared to the big box stores. Definitely worth the extra money. The installers were extremely professional and did a wonderful job.

5.0 star rating 1/24/2018 I've been doing business with Chuck and the Lewis and Weldon crew for over 10 years and have never found them anything but professional and personable. Being from a design background, I can be very picky. They have always been very responsive to my needs and input. From kitchen projects, to individual pieces, and refinishing projects they have been up front with costs and completion times. Sometimes I have had to wait for scheduling but, the quality of the workmanship is worth the wait. From the Owner, to the designers, the fabricators, and the installers always a good experience I have worked with other local contractors that have turned out to be a nightmare!

For a recent whole-house remodel project on Martha's Vineyard, we selected Lewis & Weldon after an extensive search for a company that would be creative and experienced. Chuck Hart and the entire team from Lewis & Weldon, far exceeded our expectations. Our project was completed on-time and within our discussed budget. Chuck was also instrumental in helping us with our counter top selections as well as referrals to buy our appliances. We've been complemented on the craftsmanship as well as our unique color selection for our Island. We love it! We have had 2 kitchens in 2 different properties installed by Lewis and Weldon. The first in our home is now the center piece of the home and we love to show it off. It is where we gather with friends and family. Great attention to detail and the owner was very accommodating especially with the many changes my wife kept throwing at him. The 2nd was for a rental condo. It also looks fantastic but at an affordable and commonsense price. The kitchen was installed in a timely manner and was turnkey with all appliances installed. We would definitely use Lewis and Weldon for our next project.

Nightmare project. Didn't follow architects plans, failed to call for inspections, failed inspection, fired after 14mos and 60% complete job after promising 14-16 weeks. Won a law suit against them and of course they take no responsibility. Run.

I interviewed several companies for my new Cape cottage build kitchen and bath cabinetry, and they went above and beyond the others as far as pitching ideas in a very timely fashion, using helpful 3D computer models, and their genuine enthusiasm for winning my business. I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with one of their designers, Jill Bourdon, who has impeccable taste, incredible patience (I brought a LOT of ideas and made a good amount of changes along the way), and a knack for keeping the project moving in a timely manner. The installers are true craftsmen who love what they do and take great pride in their work, and the cabinetry is amazing- yet very affordable given the customization options I was given. My kitchen turned out beyond my wildest dreams and I cannot recommend them more highly.

My kitchen is absolutely beautiful. I had my remodel done 7 years ago and I still love it as much as I did back then. The cabinets are gorgeous. I feel as though I am looking at a fine piece of furniture and not your usual run of the mill kitchen cabinets. The workers were very professional and the job was finished in a timely manner. I have the kitchen of my dreams! Planning it was the most fun...I brought my dream pictures to Lewis and Weldon...and my wish list...and they made it all happen. I now have a gorgeous kitchen with A+ functionality.
