About Us

The customization of a home should reflect the lifestyle, habits, and aesthetic preferences of its Owner. Whether a renovation or new home construction, Tina strives to understand the way an Owner lives in order to offer custom solutions specific to their family or lifestyle. Where do they eat? Where do they watch TV? How does the family enter the home? How do guests enter the home? Are there views that they want to capture? Where do they want to spend most of their time? What architectural style does the Owner prefer? There are a multitude of questions to answer and decisions to be made during the design and construction process in order to build not only a house, but a home. We approach Kitchen Design within the context of the architecture of the home. Designing a kitchen is more than hanging cabinet boxes on walls. Style and design details are selected to support the architectural details of the home. Tina works with the Owner to understand how they will use their kitchen. Do they prepare gourmet meals or do they prefer take out? Do they entertain? How big is their family? Flow, function and aesthetics must all work together to create a beautiful, organized space that meets the needs of the individual client.

Tina is a total professional. She was able to take our ideas and completely transform our home. Her suggestions and recommendations were things we had never even considered. She was always available to us when there was a question or a change during construction. We did a complete remodel to bring a 1960's home to a totally updated home. Our project could not have gone any better with Tina's assistance.

Tina Colebrook is 1st class. We have recommended her a dozen times since our project was completed. She was our architect, project manager, friend and sometime psychologist. We couldn't be happier with her professionalism, expertise and guidance!

Tina Colebrooke was the best. Helpful both with the "nuts and Bolts" of design, and artestry of making dreams come true. Turning ideas into reality. Great leadership during construction, and help with punch lists and final questions.

We hired the Tina Colebrook Architect firm because we were impressed with their reputation in the community and their portfolio which seemed very similar to what we were looking for in our total kitchen remodel. Their expertise in kitchen design was extensive and we were extremely happy with not only the fabulous design but the quality of the materials they recommended for us - cabinets, floors, back-splash etc. Their recommendations for suppliers (granite, appliances etc) were spot on and we enjoyed working with everyone they suggested. As were were not well versed in current kitchen design and products, TCA and their recommended suppliers held our hands throughout the entire process and we felt that we could go to them with the most mundane question and get a quick response without any judgement. They developed a budget and a timeline for us which was really helpful. We felt that they really listened to us when we talked about our ideas, what was important to us, and what we were looking for in a new kitchen. Their attention to detail exceeded our high expectations. We would totally recommend the Tina Colebrook Architect firm to anyone for any architectural needs.

I asked Tina Colebrook to come to my home to help me design a kitchen remodel plus separate my large front room into a parlor and "away" room. Plus, I was confused about how to bridge the gap between having ideas, getting advice, then bidding the job. Tina thought it would be best for her to act as a "space planner" and because the scope of the project did not include building-out, she reduced the standard fee a bit. At our second meeting she brought several fresh ideas, one's that I had not considered. She had incorporated most of what was important into to me into the designs, so it was clear she took good notes. We are still working together as I meet with cabinet vendors, and she has been promptly responsive in making changes going forward. Very professional. I'm thankful.

Tina Colebrook was a joy to work with. Quite frankly, we would have been overwhelmed without her expertise on the project. She was professional in every aspect. We were so grateful for her ability to work well with our builder and his subs. In addition, she has an excellent team of Interior Designers who were present in our meetings, and they worked beautifully together. Tina Colebrook followed our project through in great detail, and was instrumental in keeping everyone on task.

"We have worked with Tina on several projects. As the lead architect working on a kitchen design, she never fails to quickly determine the needs of the project and put the design we have envisioned with our client into motion. We’ve been so pleased with her level of professionalism and team approach. Tina is an expert in her field and translates the vision our client desires with expertise. She structures the design process with regular meetings, including the homeowners, contractors and subs if needed, which prevents mistakes and delays to the schedule. We highly recommend her!” SMITH & THOMASSON INTERIORS Severna Park, Maryland
