Dynamic Design & Remodeling

Sharing our excellent experience with Dynamic Design & Remodeling. Our project was a fairly extensive remodeling and modernization of the kitchen and pantry area of our recently purchased, and dated, home. After meeting with several local contractors, we found DD&R to be the best fit for our needs. From start to finish, communication was excellent -- responsive and in lay-person terms, unlike several others that seemed to talk in circles without much substance. As with any project, there were a couple of minor issues that needed clarification but, frankly, much of that was due to our making several modifications along the way. That said, DD&R was understanding and was able to incorporate our changes with minimal impact to the project cost and timeline. Strong positive recommendation for the DD&R team.

Full bathroom remodel: Most work was ok, but for the price I paid, I expected a more professional execution end-to-end. I would not recommend for others. Two stars cause I am in a good mood. The quality of work that was completed was ok/good, i.e. tiling and installing tub, toilet and vanity. I give it 4/5 stars, especially as Contractor (Damion) went above and beyond and helped with my kitchen sink plumbing. But not 5/5 based on the overall execution, and that the kitchen plumbing “cost” had to be negotiated at end as an offset to the lower-priced vanity I picked based on style and availability. No fair discounting. The overall execution was lackluster. I give it 2/5 stars. For this price tag I expected a “complete” job on the bathroom. Instead, I got push back to do the work on several detailed items and later found more items not completed, as embarrassingly pointed out by other contractors. I then had to re-hire carpenter and load additional work on my painter, at extra cost(!). Chaulk work was incomplete behind toilet, near bathtub walls and vanity. Door frame and floorboards were not reinstalled, though some floorboarding were, only after I had to micromanage twice – and then still not fully reinstalled. No suggestions were given to improve vanity with backsplash or add a shower curtain rod, or add a toilet paper holder back – basic things I would expect from a bathroom-design professional in that price range. I was also not notified on days where they just did not show up, dragging out the overall timeline for no reason. At the end, I had to micromanage again for them to clean up after themselves, something I consider a fundamental given for any contractor. Not a good job at all. Disappointing. To sum up, the project's execution could have been perfected by incorporating additional expertise in carpentry and wall work. I am confident that the contractor can develop these skills, given his excellent quality of work demonstrated in demolition, tiling, and plumbing (rating 4/5 stars, nearly 5/5). Management should have taken steps to address these deficiencies, such as providing training or additional labor, but they showed no interest in doing so during and towards the completion of this bathroom remodel job, making the outcome incomplete.

Excellent communication with the team. It made the project way more manageable, from start to finish. Would absolutely go with them again if another project came about.

Highly recommend Omega to anyone who is looking to have their home remodeled. They just finished my kitchen and it looks amazing. I was amazed in their technology and how easy the design came along. It blew me away!
