About Us

Our House Design and Construction is a family-owned business based upon integrity, creativity, and innovative design. With more than ten years of experience, the company is owned and operated by Rachel & Drew Stietzel. Rachel is the Designer and Project Manager at Our House, with experience in new home construction, renovations, remodeling, and kitchen and bath design and installation. Drew is our Construction Manager, a professional general contractor with skills in post and beam construction, framing, plumbing, and green design.

From start to finish Rachel and Drew were amazing to work with. They took time to listen to our ideas and helped to make them come to life... and within a budget that worked for our family. Their team took great care and consideration of our home when working and turned our once tiny master bath into a space that feels spacious. The new barn door and long granite counter with floating sink add a modern & sleek touch. We were very happy with the results.

I hired Rachel and Drew and their team to do a huge renovation of my childhood home from the 1800s . They took my storyboards and bought them to life . They worked tirelessly to keep the project on schedule and they were in constant contact with me throughout the process . I feel grateful everyday to have hired such wonderful people to work with. Rarely do you find people that deliver what they promise , are friendly and knowledgeable as they are but they have exceeded my expectations and I recommend them wholeheartedly. They made the process easy and less stressful for me !

Rachel, Drew, and the entire team at Our House Design were amazing. My House was built in 1994 and over the years it had experienced water damage and just general wood rot. We had 3 large windows replaced along with substantial wood damage around the garage doors and the front door entryway. The suggestion to replace with a composite wood was certainly the smart move. The attention to detail and overall craftsmanship has my house looking great. I would highly recommend this team. If you're looking for quality work, good people, and a fair price then Drew and Rachel are there to help.

We hired Drew & Rachel for a full kitchen renovation in our 1920's colonial revival home. Rachel collaborated with us to come up with a functional and aesthetically pleasing floor plan. Drew managed his team of subcontractors well and the quality of the work was very good all around. We are extremely pleased with our finished kitchen. I would and have recommended Our House to a friend. We especially appreciated Drew & Rachel's attention to detail through the planning process particularly with quotes on labor and material costs. Our only challenges were some minor communication breakdowns. For example, when schedule shifts occurred we were not actively notified. As is the case with any construction project, we had a few issues pop up, foreseen and unforeseen. Our House dealt with them seamlessly and without impacting our final schedule. Other pros: -Showroom is very nice and convenient for viewing different material options -Drawings were clear and detailed -Very transparent with costs -Permit opening and closing process was seamless and quick

We started working with Rachel in the Spring of this year. She has been extremely helpful, creative & knowledgeable designing kitchen and bathroom plans for our new house construction. She has great visualization skills, is a good listener and did an excellent job of offering us various design & material alternatives based on our preferences and budget limitations. We are currently in the process of ordering kitchen cabinets, floor tile throughout the house and quartz countertops from Our House based on the quality, competitive pricing and excellent service which has been provided to us. We also thoroughly enjoy going to their gorgeous showroom.

Working with Drew and Rachel and their crew was seamless. They were creative, hard working and courteous, and became our friends. Our house is amazing-it is truly our dream house!!
