To Whom It May Concern... SBC Contractors did a remodel on our new home in Sun City Roseville. We are so pleased and give Steve and his team A++++ rating! Our work was mostly electrical, lighting, specialty items (glass counter top, shower enclosures, door mirrors) and finishes for the whole house (flooring, paint). Steve goes the extra mile to make sure everything is done right. He understands higher-end residential details, but is very realistic about costs and schedule. He makes suggestions to improve where he sees appropriate, and where problems arise, he is resourceful and poses solutions. He has one of the nicest personalities and is so easy to work with. SBC did great work with our complicated project during challenging COVID-lockdown times. Our two-bathroom (master + kids) project is now finished, and things look incredible. But while the finished appearance matters, these are the reasons we'd enthusiastically recommend them: 1. Our project had a few VERY complicated elements, the most complex being a 6x6-foot shower window that also turned and recessed into our ceiling. Most contractors we spoke with were unwilling to even consider the project. SBC came up with a custom approach, and it looks incredible (seriously: not to brag, but we might have the coolest shower in the city). 2. They took great care when little decisions needed to be made. Every project has moments where--whether because of a room's dimensions, or the materials one has chosen, or other--when slight adjustments have to be made. They always explained the issue, recommended an approach (or an alternative), and listened to what we wanted. It would have been very easy (and quicker) for them to just proceed however they wanted, but we're grateful that they took the time to loop us in. 3. They were nice and respectful. COVID has been stressful enough, but having our kids home from school meant that they would have been exposed to any unprofessional behavior. That didn't happen: everyone was a pleasure to have around. For reference, Steve oversaw all of the work, and Richard was our onsite lead. Thanks, guys.

SBC helped with the planning and complete renovation of our kitchen, laundry room, family room, and bathroom. The crew was courteous, professional, and highly-skilled. SBC communicated with us on a regular basis from start to finish. We could not have asked for better craftsmanship or customer service. We are beyond pleased with the result.

I run a property management company and I have hired SBC multiple times over the last several years. They have done multiple deck replacements, tear off and rehab projects and even a complete rebuild of a unit gutted by fire. SBC Contractors remodeled all 3 of our bathrooms. This involved a complete tear out and re-design, since all were 20+ years old. All 3 projects were completed timely and with the utmost standard of quality and professionalism. Our master bath has won awards and we were absolutely amazed at the transformation. We have worked with many contractors over the years, but SBC is the best.

How do you write a review on someone who changed our lives? My wife and I own 10 acres of rural property in Northern California. Thinking the most economical option would to replace our 30 year manufactured home, which we purchased in the 90's, with a new manufactured home I called Steve to ask his advice on a set of steps for this new home 2 days after we paid a non binding deposit for a new manufactured home. This call started us on a path away from a manufactured home to a custom home. Now it's not everyday you build a custom home and for my wife and I this will be the only one. Again how do you write a review about someone who in a short period of time changed our lives and started us on a path of awesome memories? I'll say this whatever construction project you might be interested in calling SBC you won't find a more honest, upfront contractor. My career has kept me around contractors and in 30 years you see the great, good and not so good. To have someone like SBC help build our dream house was a true blessing. Like anyone that's been in our "newb" house building shoes you don't really "relax" until the day you get your final but we never experienced a restless night knowing SBC was in our corner. SBC Contractors did an excellent remodel of my home. They worked well with me in both design and implementation. They remodeled my foryer, kitchen, pantry, utility, bath, and old redwood deck. Project included structural foundation reinforcement, moving walls, adding/replacing windows & doors, new cabinets, new lighting, hardwood floors, lots of tile, quartz countertops, covered patio and Trex deck. Steve and his team were respectful, thoughtful and detailed in their work. I am very happy with the results.
