E.L.I. land design, LLC. was founded in 1997 by Chris K Eiseman with a single truck, hard work ethic, and a love for working with plants. Today E.L.I. is a design forward firm with registered landscape architects and professional landscape installers working as a team to provide our clients with creative design build landscape solutions. We consistently provide our clients with individually tailored, sustainable, and impeccably build landscapes that perform year after year. E.L.I. land design is located in The Woodlands, TX and allows us to work closely with our property owners and provide unmatched attention to detail. Our comprehensive landscaping services provide property owners with living works of art. We are prompt, professional and would love to discuss your project in more detail. Chris grew up in California then moved to Texas where his family decided to call home. As the son of a master carpenter and a florist, his childhood was always surrounded by plants and construction and I guess you could say, not much has changed. Chris began his career in the landscape field at the age of 10 by cutting grass and gardening within the local community. Those early years provided great educational experience teaching him the importance of quality work and he learned many lessons in customer service. Chris founded E.L.I. land design in the spring of 1997 at the age of 20 and quickly realized that he wanted to set his business apart from the everyday landscape company. To do so he turned to Texas A&M's College of Architecture. In 2002, Chris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and since then has been designing and building landscapes for commercial and residential clients in the Houston area. Today, Chris is married to his college sweet heart Katie and settled down in Montgomery where they love to cook and do wine tastings. Chris is an avid outdoorsman, practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a private pilot.

I found E.L.I. Land Design on Houzz. I read all the reviews and then met with Chris and his team to go over my ideas and plans for an entire backyard transformation, pool redo and outdoor kitchen. Chris took my ideas and improved on them tenfold. The E.L.I. team worked tirelessly to overhaul my backyard into a clean, crisp, modern oasis. My husband and I have received so many wonderful compliments on our new backyard and now we actually use our backyard every single day. Chris Eiseman and his team at E.L.I. Land Design did an outstanding job at our home in Carlton Woods. Chris had previously made substantial improvements to the landscaping prior to our purchase of the property, and then he and his team took it to the next level by making some additional improvements. Our friends and family always comment about the level of perfection associated with our landscape design and installations. One friend recently said that the landscaping on our property had a museum-like level of perfection! From the planning, design, and installation processes, Chris was actively involved in the entire process. During the grow-in period, Chris would routinely show up unannounced to make sure the landscaping grow-in was taking place as he expected it to, which further demonstrates a level of service unmatched in this industry. Our project entailed building a terrace/patio on the back of our home. The proposed location involved building on a severe slope. We needed a land designer and contractor experienced in this type of construction. A great deal of dirt had to be moved and retaining walls erected. E.L.I. proved to be a perfect fit for us. E.L.I .was very prompt and punctual in meeting with us and listening to our requests and concerns. After a couple exchanges and revisions they were able to provide us a proposal that met our needs and budget. The quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding. E.L.I. explained what was being done on a regular basis, and always responded to our questions in person, or by text promptly. The work crew was very courteous and met every request we asked of them. The six week project was completed on time and within the agreed upon budget. We are very pleased and have received numerous comments about the beautiful addition to out property. Where once an unusable piece of our yard stood, is now a area we enjoy on a daily basis.

I contacted them to develop a plan for the backyard of our new build. They were able to come up with a beautiful plan and also worked with me to get it within our budget. They even worked out a plan to do it in sections so I could spread out the cost. Phase one is finished and it turned out beautiful. We love our new patio and plantings and can't wait to add the other phases. The company was professional and completed the work quickly and stayed within budget.

First let me say that we have built 4 homes, and renovated 2 homes, so we are pretty in tune with contractor performance. Working with ELI Land Design was the best experience we have had with any contractor. Both Chris, the owner, and Matt, the designer, were always responsive and available. We had several design iterations to get things where we wanted, some by phone, some face to face, and we always moved forward. They even came to our homeowners association to answer any questions. This project had about 100 running feet of multilevel block retaining wall, 800 sq ft of pavers, lighting, irrigation and over 500 plants and trees. Execution of the plan was flawless, from delivery of hardscape materials, to installation, to plantings and finishing. The on site teams were polite, and always open to explaining how and what was being done, and to making any small adjustments we requested. The work drew a neighborhood crowd not only during construction, but afterwards, where we now regularly enjoy the surroundings. Even our home builder asked for their contact info after he saw the work. Several neighbors also contacted ELI. On budget, on time.

Our project was a challenge which involved major drainage and erosion issues. We talked with a number of professionals that simply had no idea how to solve the problems. Chris came out and immediately knew what to do and how to do it correctly. We enjoyed the entire process from drawings to completion. He thought of ways to help keep the budget down without sacrificing function or beauty. The end product is spectacular, people even slow down to look at it! Chris and his entire team were always detail oriented and professional. We highly recommend ELI Land Design and look forward to working with them on our next phase!

ELI just finished the landscaping project for our home. We bought the home a year ago and needed to completely remodel it inside and out. We started on the inside and thought the home called for a "California Coastal" vibe. Once finished inside, we called Chris to come work his magic outside. Being in renovation fatigue, I gave Chris a tour of the home and told him that I wanted to carry the theme outside as well. He ran with it and developed an absolutely fantastic design. His design also included all of the functional requirements that were previously lacking, such as all new drainage, additional fencing, and smart sprinkler and lighting systems. Now we look out and see the beautiful lawn, the mature trees he chose to keep that blend seamlessly into the design, the functional hardscapes, which include stone walls that allow us to utilize more of our yard as well as the new plantings. The showcase Olive trees in the front yard start telling the story that evolves into a beautiful ending as you make your way around the yard. Overall, we could not be happier with the process or the final result.
