They delivered on their promises, completing the retaining wall project on time and with exceptional craftsmanship. The project was to demo and rebuild a brick retaining wall around the front yard of my house. After selecting three proposals for evaluation, I selected ECLD’s because it was the most complete and detailed of the three, detailing exactly how the project would proceed. After meeting with Mark Simpson and his foreman Roberto, and seeing his crew in action, I knew I had made the right decision. The job was completed on time and on budget. I have a patio project for the future and I will certainly contract with Mark and ECLD again!

I had a patio, driveway, and the backyard designed and executed. It looks way better than I could have imagined.

East Coast Landscape Design did a gorgeous job on my home. I had a paver walkway installed with lighting. I had a drainage problem in the front yard that the company fixed with grading and a French Drain. I had a master design completed and have followed what the designer recommended. In my backyard I had privacy trees planted and on the side of the driveway, the crew cleared out all the weeds and old shrubs and mulched the area. It now looks beautiful and weed free. They weeded all the flowers beds and mulched, now it looks so fresh. The crew arrived on time and in uniform. They answered all my questions and even completed a few things that I asked for extra. The property was left immaculate and I received a follow up call from Mark Simpson to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Great job East Coast Landscape Design.

I hired East Coast Landscape Design to take care of a sump pump drainage problem under my deck, as well as install a stone patio under the deck. They did a wonderful job with both. Mark designed the project and answered any questions I had. He provided all the necessary information and design plans to obtain approval for the project from my homeowners association. Katie was very helpful with scheduling, billing and answering general questions. Roberto and Crew did a great job installing the patio and cleaning up afterwards. The patio looks great and the drainage issue has been taken care of. I would definitely hire them again and/or recommend them to a friend.

We have used their services extensively over the years. They re-designed our entire back yard years ago. Recently we had them remove existing plants by the street corner and replace them with more appropriate ones. They also installed a permeable paver walk in the front and did a complete cleanup and mulching of all the flower beds. The quality of the work was excellent. There were frustrating delays of several days between phases of the project, but everything turned out right in the end. Highly recommended.

Mark Simpson and East Coast Landscaping were great to work with on this project. At every step of the way, Mark worked with us to get what we want, and stay within the budget we had set. They were able to completely change our backyard from a plain old DC yard with a less than ideal deck, into an oasis in NE DC. They were able to take my original plans for our yard and create a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DC work life and stay within budget while still adding in the little extras we came up with in the last few days. The value of the work done will add 2 times the amount spent on the project once we decide to sell and move on form this house. But that will be tough to do now that we have the backyard of our dreams. I would highly recommend East Coast Landscaping for any work you are considering getting done to your house. They are professionals and know what they are doing. It is well worth getting a quote from Mark on your next project, as they were not over priced and certainly not hard to work with through out the project. They are a quality company who valued us as customers. They where willing to come back a month later to do touch ups from the project, and fix our gate which we foolishly left open for the wind to slam shut and damage. Description of Work: They tour down and ripped out our existing plain old boring yard with a deck and turned it into an Oasis in DC by installing a 6-foot gorgeous privacy fence, a 18" sitting wall (retaining as well), a 450 foot paver patio, new steps to backdoor, drainage from 2 rain gutters to curb, stone areas for edging and our shed, and completely re-sodded our yard. All within 2 weeks of work time. The crew was excellent and easy to work with day in and day out.

They designed and built a beautiful paver front walk for us including removing old concrete sidewalk and covering existing stoop with pavers. I highly recommend them!
