The Narrow Lane

Worst experience working with a contractor we have ever had. Lack of communication was astounding. Reached out to start the project on our tiny front lawn in June/July. Didn't start planting until mid October. Was told there were 5 jobs in front of ours. Ignored photos of exactly what we wanted. Finish product is passable at best. Would not recommend.

Narrow lane exceeded our expectations at every turn, from the landscape design to installation they were truly fantasitc. I would recommend them without reservations for any job large or small.

We had a pretty large landscape project, including completely re-doing front and back yards, patios, front walk, heated driveway, gardens and etc. In short, Narrow Lane did a marvelous job with a stunning end product (with a reasonable cost too). Both our family and neighbors love how it turned out. In addition, the owner and his crew members are very dedicated, hardworking and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this landscape company!

Ron and the team helped transform our backyard from a dead grass wasteland to a place that I'm now proud to call home. We started by completely revamping our border with new trees', plants and grass + and an irrigation system to keep everything alive and well. After we saw the quality of work that was produced, we next moved on to a larger project to build a new bluestone patio. This project is currently still in process, but the work so far has been wonderful and we are very excited to see the final result. The team has been friendly, professional, and great to work with. They do book up fast and can be quite busy, so I recommend getting in early so you have time to work through the planning process. Especially if you want it done in time to enjoy our limited New England summer. :-)

Ron and his team at Narrow Lane have done an excellent job transforming our backyard! We've been clients for lawn maintenance for several years, and this season we decided we wanted to redesign the space. It did take a while between signing the contract and starting the work, as Ron told us it would; but once the project started, it went quickly and efficiently. The team was friendly, and they did excellent work. My husband noted that after planting a full perimeter of evergreens, the crew went back to adjust a tree that was leaning very slightly (and that we probably would have never noticed, especially once it grew out a bit). They also accommodated a last minute change for us that involved moving a few trees after they had already been planted. The only regret we have is not going with the suggestions Ron made upfront for redoing our patio, since we ended up contracting for a second project shortly after the first wrapped up!

On a short timeline Ron at Narrow Lane Landscaping Company met with us and discussed landscaping the front and side areas and a new lawn installation for our home. We appreciated that he listened carefully to our concerns and well as to the style and plant materials that interested us. He provided us with excellent information, pros and cons and the turn around was quick on providing the design plans. We again met in person to finalize which was really helpful for us to imagine our landscaping. The lawn crew was fantastic. Troy and Steve could not have been nicer and they were just as committed to having us have the design we wanted. They happily moved plant material "just two inches over to the left" and made sure we were satisfied at all stages. We found the company very responsive in all respects and we are very, very pleased.

We hired The Narrow Lane to do a paver walkway for us and were so pleased with both the quality of the work and their professionalism that we engaged them for general lawn maintenance. And we've been so pleased with the maintenance that we've now engaged them for snow removal also. They are really a large cut above other landscaping companies we've engaged in the past - very thorough and attentive to detail, and very communicative - they keep us informed about what they are doing and why.

I am impressed with the quality of service provided us by the Narrow Lane Landscaping Company. Narrow Lane worked with our small condominium association to develop a pleasing front yard landscape design and they readily provided us with a revised design when our condominium budget was reduced. All scheduling was spelled out in advance and delivered as promised and the firm was very good in responding to client requests and questions within 24 hours. After our Landscape design was installed, Narrow Lane initiated follow up contact with our Association 12 weeks following the completion of work and replaced a plant that had died, at no additional cost to us. Description of work: Narrow Lane Landscaping provided landscape design and construction services to our small, urban condominium association located in Brookline, MA.

The Narrow Lane provided fall clean up services to our residence, and we were very impressed. They responded quickly to our request and our yard looked even better than we anticipated afterwards.

Description Of Work: The Narrow Lane, through Ron Goode, it's owner/operator and his team, performed various services for us, including 3 new paver walkways with cobblestone lining them, a new driveway, new sod in the front, new side and back lawns, new plantings, new retaining walls, two tree removals, large overgrown shrub removals, planting of several new trees and other plants, as well as fertilizing, leaf removal/Spring cleanup and some general landscape maintenance. Comments: It went great! Our main design and construction work required every part of our yard to be torn up, excavated, or otherwise touched with a shovel, mini-excavator, or other tool/piece of machinery and Ron worked hard to ensure that the disruptions to my family were minimal. He also listened to each request, made recommendations based on our budget, worked hard to get the estimate within our budget, and has produced a product that every neighbor has complemented! We love how it all turned out and have had several people ask if it is a new house! I highly recommend The Narrow Lane for not only landscape design and construction, but also maintenance. Ron will work hard to ensure that he gives you exactly what you want in a budget you can be happy with.
