Browne and Associates Custom Landscapes

We've recently finished our work with Ben and I felt compelled to do something I never do, write a review! My wife and I recently built a home and have dealt with no less than twenty sub-contractors, Ben being at the top of the list. Ben designed a perfect front and back yard for us from scratch in Washington Park with a beautiful landscape wall, back patio, trees, bushes, shrubs, and a pool. We were given drawings of many different options with detailed explanations helping guide us toward the perfect yard. Everything was not perfect because no construction job is but the difference that we noticed with Ben versus other subcontractors was Ben fixed things no questions asked or even came to us explaining that something needed to be fixed and why. He takes pride in his jobs which is very rare given the amount work that's around town right now. I've noticed other reviews talk about "big jobs" or "arrogance" which I feel should be addressed. We decided most everything on our project but when there were certain areas where he thought we were making the "wrong" decision he simply gave us his honest opinion on what he thought and it was great. Someone working in construction who's honest? Sign me up! We did plenty of due diligence in terms of price vs results, we were charged a fair price for the work that's been done and what we've been left with is a yard that's no less than stunning. It was a pleasure to work with Ben and his crew. He designed the entire hardscape/ landscape for our home, which included; an infinity edge pool, a fire pit, a spa, a large outdoor bar area and 6 seating areas. We could not be more pleased with how it all turned out.

We did our homework interviewing 3 top landscape companies... everything was taken into consideration; budget, quality, reputation, past experiences with former clients, overall design vision etc. But, you never quite know how your own project will turn out. You just have to trust your instinct. We made the right choice in hiring Ben Browne & Assoc. and had a truly remarkable experience with them. At every turn they always kept us in the know and let us make simple changes when we weren't sure of the vision. Ultimately they were always right but they never made us feel like our worries were pointless. We were pleasantly surprised when everything was completed and saw it all come together. We had a total landscape makeover from our front yard to a wonderful serene backyard escape. Our backyard is where we begin the day with a cup of coffee and end the day with a glass of wine. Peaceful and serene. Perfect in our view! The crew was always respectful and nice and worked everyday except Sunday. We are happy and proud to recommend Ben and his crew.

I hired Browne and Associates to do a landscape design to improve the value of my home. Not only were they incredibly talented, offering unique and a well thought-out plan, they were always on time and extremely professional. I was extremely impressed by Browne and Associates!

Browne and Associates recently remodeled our backyard and the side yards to our home When we purchased this 27 year old home two years ago the property was very overgrown with shrubs that hadn't been trimmed in the past 10 years There were several dead trees in the backyard and the side yard had steps made of rotting railroad ties which meandered in a winding senseless pathway to the back of the house The other side yard sloped and was paved with flagstones which had lifted out of the ground at different levels so that one couldn't navigate the yard without tripping We weren't aware of the extent of the work required until the spring arrived and we were faced with a mess. This was a very large job Ben's design was so exciting that we decided to go ahead with the project this past fall. The project included removal of everything in the back yard including most of the topsoil which was full of rocks, Ben's team built a pergola to provide some shade, constructed a large outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, retaining walls, paver patio, placed the trampoline into the ground, moved play equipment, constructed steps on both sides of the house. The replaced all the topsoil, shrubs, replaced the drainage system, new sprinkler system, new sod, added mulch, ground lighting etc, etc. The workers led by the foreman Cesaer are some of the hardest workers I have had work on any project in my home. Ben and his team are perfectionists, pleasant to interact with and honest in every aspect of the work. We look forward to having Ben back this spring to do more planting of shrubs which were not available in the fall. I have recommended him to my son who wishes to redo his backyard and I would recommend Browne and Associates to anyone. His designs are beautiful, the work is very high quality and he is a pleasure to work with.

Great job executing and tweaking a sophisticated landscape design!!!!!! The crew always showed up promptly and honestly working from sunrise to sunset to finish the job on time. I hired Ben to do a full-scale front and rear-yard landscaping project on a "small-ish" city lot in an urban neighborhood. The project included quite a bit of hardscape and soft-scape, and Ben listened carefully to my vision for what I wanted and devised a plan to match those specifications. Now my patio and small backyard feels like an extension of my family room, which is exactly what I wanted. The crew who completed the work commenced the project immediately and worked tirelessly for three weeks until it was finished. They were extremely professional, careful, and courteous. Ben was also very helpful to resolve an issue that arose with the next door neighbor, which was going above and beyond what I hired him to do. I could not be happier with the results!
