Kim Cladas Lighting Design

We took our kitchen, living and dining spaces down to the studs to update and modernize our space. The project seemed overwhelming with thousands of decisions. Now it was time for the lighting. Our designer recommended Kim....it was a slice of heaven. Although we had a general sense of the look and feel, Kim took our thoughts and immediately was able to make recommendations for each space. This included direct/indirect lighting, fixtures, and undercounter lighting. The best part......she provided a schematic with all the detailed specifications including lenses , housings etc. We just had to take this information to our lighting store and they got everything right. Can you believe it? The schematic and diagram also was the blueprint for the contractor. The lighting design, ordering and installation was the easiest part of our project. Most importantly, our home looks so beautiful at night......we couldn't be more pleased. Kim is the professional that you must use.

Kim is definitely a lighting expert! We recently hired Kim to design a new lighting scheme for our home. She did the design, guided us through selecting several fixtures, coordinated and oversaw all of the work with the contractors and electricians, and conducted several walk throughs to make sure that everything was proceeding perfectly. She even came over one evening after the project was done to make sure that every spotlight was aimed just right and every room's evening lighting was perfect. It was a pleasure working with Kim, and we have already recommended her to friends and neighbors.

Through the processing of expanding and remodeling our San Francisco Victorian home, we were committed to making the design decisions on our own. The only place we used a consultant was with lights and Kim was simply amazing. Lights can be so tricky, especially with each of our floors at different heights. We wanted lighting that would create the right atmosphere - regardless of the situation - and offer subtle warmth to dazzling pendants. Kim has been the lighting designer on numerous projects that I worked on as an interior designer and it's always a delight to work with her. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Kim was absolutely the best subcontractor on our huge 2 year renovation project. She served as our lighting consultant for the whole house renovation. She was always perfectly prepared, organized and succinct at meetings during which she presented design schematics, electrical plans, images and samples of proposed fixtures. Her level of preparation and readiness made all the other participants on the project look average - even though they were all terrific! After the renovation was complete, she came for the fine tuning which made our home look so perfect - focusing lights to wash panels, highlight art and make reading on the couch easier. We also loved her suggestions for fixtures. She is very efficient and each hour billed is really worth it.

We used Kim to design and specify the lighting for a house we just had constructed. The lighting is a crucial component of the interior design and has really enhanced the project. She worked closely with our architect and helped us choose some truly wonderful things. We strongly endorse her work. It is a very contemporary house with a rather minimalist aesthetic and she was able to understand our design preferences and come up with suggestions that strengthened our original vision.
