“We have a 50 year old house that had a very small kitchen in the front of the house. We have 2 acres and wanted to see the beautiful back yard. Melissa Sutherland knew exactly what we wanted, to see the view out back. From the beginning to the end we were never disappointed. From the barrel ceiling with the faux finishes on the recess cans to the stove hood that looks like it came straight from France, I'm a very pleased customer! Then where the kitchen was in front, we changed into a den we all hang out in. Along with the kitchen, we enlarged the patio and added a screened-in gazebo so my husband can smoke his cigars and I don't get eaten alive by the mosquito's. We love the look of our updated home. Next room, The Master bedroom!!!”

She helped us furnish the home from top to bottom: from paint colors and rugs to furniture and artwork...and everything in between. And, she did it on a very tight timeline: about five months from start to finish. She thought of things we didn't think of and was so creative and fun! And I don't have an unlimited wallet so I completely appreciated her strategy of providing options at various price points so I could pick and choose what elements I wanted to spend more (or less) on. She not only captured 'my style' in delivering options, she asked so many questions that I really had to think which ended up making me comfortable with my final decisions. She's a lot of sass packaged in a petite female and boy does she know her trade. Highly recommend her and have successfully done so already! “A couple years ago, we had started remodeling our kitchen, but because of cost and time we had left a few projects unfinished to do at a later time. When the time came to finish it, we realized that we had wished we had removed our soffitts over the cabinets and brought the cabinets all the way to the ceiling. We went to Lowes to see if there was anything we could do to put the finishing touches on our kitchen and to get some ideas. We talked to Christina. She found out that we really didn't need more cabinets for storage, just a more finished look to what we had already done. She suggested putting skin over the soffit and using different kinds of molding, building out the corner to match the corner cabinet and helping us to make our kitchen look beautiful and finally complete. She is a professional that is very easy to work with, listened to our ideas, did not have the "do it my way" attitude as many other designers do. She truly spends time to listen to what your needs and wants are, and finds a way to make it work. I'm so glad we went to her. I have had more wonderful compliments on my kitchen and am so proud of it now that it's finished. I am glad we waited. I would very highly recommend Christina Cavin to anyone looking for a professional that is friendly, easy to work with, listens to your wants and needs, and will get things done right without any problems. She is 5 stars in my book. Don't hesitate to call her!”
