I purchased California shutters from Canada Custom Shutters 20 years ago and they repainted them five years later to match my new kitchen paint colour. To give you a background. We have been renovating our ordinary mid 70's suburban home over a seven year period. Our new design is Japanese minimalist throughout the whole house. Everything in our home as been custom made for this design. We commissioned Canada Custom Shutters to build us a custom design (Frank Lloyd Wright type) two six foot sliding Shoji panels for our wardrobe for our master bedroom. They are absolutely gorgeous!!! The workmanship, attention to detail as well as custom colour are excellent. They are definitely the focal point of our master bedroom. The customer service is exceptional. My parents used Canada Custom Shutters in their home 15 years ago and they continue to look amazing to this day. I contacted them and a few other company for quotes when I bought my first home. Canada Custom Shutters was by far the most professional. John showed up with samples during the free quote and discussed their many options. Diane Miroddi was easy to talk to and she worked out a very attractive price for us. We had the majority of our windows done and being it is an older home each window had its own issues. The installer was able to fit the shutters beautifully. They also painted them Cloud White by Benjamin Moore (so they match my trim perfectly). I highly recommend Canada Custom Shutters.

Canada Custom Shutters' pricing is competitive. It was a bit of a wait, but worth it. In terms of quality, you get what you pay for. Harvey, who provided in-home consultation, gave us very honest and helpful opinion. He walked us through the various options with pros/cons and ensured we did not spend extra $ with no value added. Jim, the installer, was amazingly swift, neat and tidy and very polite. Thanks to both of them.

What a relief it was to find out that Canada Custom Shutters is still in business. We bought our house ten years ago. One of the reasons why is because the previous owner had installed elegant shutters on every window. We recently switched our master bedroom into the former den that had shutters but only the type that covers the bottom half of the window. We'd need full shutters if we were going to get any sleep. Harvey from Canada Customs came on a Saturday to measure and offer a couple of looks to consider. His professional and pleasant manner was most impressive. Five weeks later the shutters were ready to be installed. Sam was the installer.
