From the get-go, I knew I was working with helpful professionals who had great suggestions and put me in the right direction for what would look best in the room I was finding a window covering for. Installation took place well within the estimated time frame they told me and Aaron, the installer, was extremely professional and personable from the time he took the measurements early on, to completing the installation. He took incredible care of our belongings near where the installation was taking place and even put back 2 tall glass vases that I had moved away from the area. He also neatly wrapped up the old blinds, which made it super easy for my husband to put in storage. Tradesmen like him are a rare find these days. I appreciate and applaud the entire Ross Howard Designs team.

Our university office required a blackout shade to block the blinding sunshine (casting reflections on computers, etc.) as well as reducing heat transfer in a floor-to-ceiling window. Very professional and pleasant. Loren was very helpful and helped us with our selection.. Colin came out and measured and told us when to expect to receive the window shade. Colin called us and told us that he was able to expedite the order even with all of the supply chain issues going on in all industries. He came out the next day and installed the window shade. We have used them several times and have always been impressed. We highly recommend them.

What a great experience.
I was able to speak with Loren Cope Wolf and she gave me suggestions and a quote. She is very knowledgeable and great to work with.
Both the gentleman that came out to measure the windows and the gentleman that installed the window coverings were professional and knowledgeable as well. We love the coverings, they look great.
The whole experience was positive. All were at a professional level where I really felt comfortable in their hands and I will definitely refer Ross Howard Designs for window coverings in the future.

The team at Ross Howard Designs were fantastic. For ratings, I consider 4 out of 5 stars hard to beat and close to perfect. RHD understood our complex needs and had the solution. They were very patient with our indecisiveness as we went through several iterations. They really cared about what they were doing for us and were definitely experts at it. They were very responsive even after business hours. Their installation team was top-notch and made several visits to make sure things looked good and worked properly. We did have some problems with the product from the manufacturer and RHD recognized immediately and facilitated timely replacements for us. If we had more windows that needed covering we'd call them again for sure. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I could not have been more pleased with my experience with Kathleen and the whole team at Ross Howard Designs! We had purchased a new house in another city and she was able to order blinds for my based on the house plans and the specialist she sent to the new home to measure. The blinds were installed ahead of schedule within a few days of moving in and the installing team was professional and thorough. My project included various window treatments types for a new construction house. Loren was patient and helpful in selection of the right thing for each area. One of the products I selected was discontinued unexpectedly after the order was placed, but Loren worked with the manufacturer to find an alternative and was still able to meet the installation date. The installers were also professional and efficient

I could not be more pleased with the service I received at Ross Howard. The friendly staff was very responsive and helpful in getting the job designed and completed. I felt as though I had a new friend.
The unusual job was to have pillows made from my wife's wedding gown. I gave the staff freedom to design around the dress features as they thought best. The pillows came out absolutely beautiful. My children and grandchildren who received the pillows were beyond words. If I have any future design needs, there is no question to whom I will turn.

The designer, Kathleen, was very patient with us while picking material for our new drapes. She dug through many samples before the wife and I found the fabric, texture and colors we new we would love as part of our redecorating.

Kathleen Ezzell & the entire team at Ross Howard Designs were amazing. We needed window treatments and upholstered cushions for our new custom home, and had several design constraints and a clear vision for a functional, beautiful, streamlined design that would not obstruct our views.
Taking our goals into consideration, Kathleen was able to come up with a solution that was even better than we could have imagined. We met with several competitors, and although the price tag was higher with Ross Howard, the quality of the materials, the elegance of the window treatments, and the expertise and professionalism of the entire team provided made it well worth the difference in cost. On top of that, they were able to accommodate our time constraints in time for a family reunion.
We would definitely work with Ross Howard Designs in the future.

This is the second time I’ve used Ross Howard Designs for window treatments and the second great experience I’ve had. The showroom has a lot of shades installed on the windows so you get a true idea of how they’ll perform. Staff is friendly and helpful. Scheduling an in-home measurement was easy and the installation visit went smoothly. The shades are beautiful and fit perfectly into the windows. Even the special-cut shade for my kitchen window is perfect (the lower half of the shade is narrower than the top half to accommodate backsplash tiles).

Blinds arrived quickly & were installed quickly. Friendly sales, measuring, and installation folks. One shade was too short, and it was quickly reordered and replaced. Had some glitches with app specifying automatic up/down at sunrise/sunset, but eventually got that worked out with help from installer.

I highly recommend Ross Howard Designs. The team was great to work with and the finished product looks lovely in our home. Colin and Bev were who we worked with throughout the project. They were very helpful explaining all the different product offerings and helping me figure out which was best suited for my house. Colin even came out to do a site visit and help determine what would be best given the entire space. They had great design ideas and helped whittle down the variety of options into ones that would look best in our space. One of the installations didn't go as planned so Colin personally returned the next week to ensure it was installed properly. Great customer service. The project was completed early and came in right at our budget. We will definitely use Ross Howard again!

Very helpful and professional company. From the demonstrations in the showroom to the owner coming out to our house early on a Saturday to see the fabrics/shades/styles in our house. Very knowledgeable owner (Colin) and lovely support staff too.
The blinds came when they were supposed to. Installed when they said they would be and worked as advertised.
I had a little trouble getting all the networking stuff hoked up correctly - Colin to the rescue again. Talked me through it. Did it carefully. Not a foot put wrong.
I cannot recommend these folks too highly

Ross Howard Designs installed Rollease automated home roller shades. They also set up a Rollease Hub and programmed our system. The shades fit our 15 windows perfectly and we really appreciate their services. Our window shades can be controlled from anywhere in the world via the “cloud.” Thanks!

The people at Ross Howard Designs were super friendly and very helpful. I needed new shades for 2 bedroom windows that faced the east and got the bright morning sun. I went in their showroom thinking I wanted one thing and after they showed me all of the different options I decided on something completely different and they look great.
They didn't mind that I came back to their showroom several times before making my final decision and it didn't matter which person helped me, they were all very knowledgeable and eager to help. Before purchasing, they came to my house to select the color that would go best in the rooms.
The shades were also ready over a week ahead of schedule. Very pleased and I plan to go back to redo other windows.

After seeing excellent reviews, I stopped into the showroom to take a look at Hunter Douglas options. In 1 room, we're reusing silk curtains & needed beautiful privacy blinds we could get in both horizontal & vertical styles. We received wonderful suggestions, help & customer service from Colin, Loren & the installers. The blinds are stunning & look perfect. It's tricky to find a great vertical blind, but it works like a dream on our new slider. Colin's advice was superb. We also used Ross Howard Designs' installer to rehang our curtains - they've never looked this good. My wife and I have used Ross Howard Designs numerous times in the last few years. We never even consider going somewhere else since our first project with Colin and Loren about 5 years age. They are always extremely responsive, professional, have excellent installers and have often come to review our project at home before making recommendations. We are currently using then in our business to finish a new building. Our current project is in progress now.(7/2017) We stated with then in late 2012 or early 2013. She is very prompt in responding to inquiries, has a sunny personality and is great at following through and overcoming whatever obstacles I presented to her. Everybody knew what to do and when to do it. Great people. AND, I love the plantation shutters. They brighten the rooms and are so clean and fresh. RW installed new blinds and master bedroom draperies. They look fabulous! The light diffusion through the Silhoutte blinds is elegant and soothing. It makes the whole house feel lighter. I stopped in to the store hoping for some resolution to an impossible west facing window in my master bedroom. I had looked into several alternatives for the arched window and none were really pleasing.
What a delight to find this lovely adjustable wooden arch and coordinated light dimming soft shades which mask the view yet let in light as needed. The window treatment provides the privacy and the softness I wanted for my master bedroom.

I have bought Hunter Douglas shades/blinds from 2 other vendors over the past 13 years. At Ross Howard Designs, I have had my best experience. They are professional, thorough, and have excellent followup. I was told initially to wait for expected changes in the product of my choice. It was worth the wait.
Loren gave honest pricing and details on my order, stating clearing what was and was not possible. She understood my setting and needs and was clear on what drawbacks I may have. Then she exceeded my expectations with what was delivered, taking into consideration what my needs were and meeting them without empty promises and disappointments.
Larry, the installer, took all measurements 2-3 times, documented them with redundancy so not to lose anything, installed cleanly and made adjustments to make me happy. The product was delivered with an exact fit and the pulls as specified. Let's face it, not all windows are square and sometimes things can look a little off at no fault of the product. But Larry went above and beyond to figure out and adapt to create the most acceptable installation, making both me and and my husband happy. He is very knowledgeable and an asset to the company.
I will definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent service and precision.

I had a challenging request, which was resolved by Ross Howard Designs and I am very satisfied with the results.
I have existing Hunter Douglas blinds, using old technology (so I thought), and fabric that is obsolete. RH Designs was able to offer 2 alternative fabrics which very closely matched our existing fabric, and in addition they were able to source our original obsolete fabric should we choose to match exactly. Because one of the new fabrics matched our existing fabric well enough (old and new blinds are on other ends of the room from each other), and because the cost was substantially less to choose this current fabric, we purchased the new fabric. The blinds were ordered and received much sooner than expected, they were installed perfectly, and the installer was able to show me that my existing blinds were in fact a hybrid of old and new technology which allowed me more flexibility when programming my remotes for all sets of blinds, old and new. All in all, an excellent experience!

Everyone was very helpful at Ross Howard and they did impeccable work. Our home is older and has very odd windows and the fit of the shutters and shades is so precise. We actually got two quotes for our house and went with Ross Howard designs because of the service and felt like we were not being pressured into a certain product. From the time we entered the store, we felt as if we were an important customer. They listened to our wants, reviewed our floor plans and suggested only options that interested us. We were informed about the benefits of each option and how they would work with our furnishings and desired style. We had already shopped around and the experience ranged from bad to acceptable. Knowing we liked the guidance and service provided, we asked for pricing. We were surprised that the pricing, for a product which exceeded others, was similar to companies without a showroom and less than others. Delivery / instillation were on time. The installer did not need to be told to be careful. He removed his shoes, put on booties, laid a drop cloth, took pains not to disturb anything and the installation was great. Look, I'm not good at this sort of thing. All I can say is Colin and Loren did an excellent job helping my husband and I pick out the right kind of window coverings for our house.
We did the entire house (17 separate windows) and every room had a different design.
They made sure each room got the exact window treatment it needed.
Not only were they different colors and materials, they were also different mechanically. Some had wireless controls, some had manual drawstring controls, and some were manual (pulled up or down (and down from the top so that the bottom part of the window is blocked) by the shade itself). And one was just a window tint.
We're just a couple of guys who don't know a lot about this kind of thing, or how to coordinate patterns and colors properly. Colin was tremendously patient and helpful while we worked through the decision making process.
All of work was done properly and on time.
I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I've moved 17 times and remodeled and decorated several houses I can confidently say they are my best experience ever!!!!!!!! I will refer and use them again!

I needed window treatments for my new home. I went to Ross Howard for them. The selection was more than I could have wanted. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful. There were specific issues that needed addressing and were done and solved. The installers were very professional. The staff at Ross Howard worked with my contractors to make sure the shutters were the right color. They also worked with me and my decorator to make sure the shades were just as I wanted. I am very please with the shades and shutters I have and would recommend Ross Howard to others.

We walked into the Ross Howard Design showroom with only a basic idea about what we wanted. We wanted to see what was available in the Hunter-Douglas line and talk to a window covering professional about what product they might recommend to fill our need. We found that person in Loren. With a series of key questions, Loren was able to help us filter our choices quickly. Colin came to our house to do the measurements on five large windows and just as importantly to us, helped us choose the color of our shades that would complement our wood floors, walls, furniture, and cabinets. We couldn't be happier with the color he recommended. The order was finalized for our new shades and arrived at least a week quicker than we were expecting. Their installer was prompt, quick, courteous, and very good at his job. The install went very quickly. We couldn't be happier with the whole transaction. It's such a pleasure to deal with professionals that know their business so well.

When the search for window coverings began, we found a location in Dallas where you could actually SEE, TOUCH and OPERATE the many options. This was definitely a plus! We were treated very well, and talked through many different types and styles. They are extremely knowledgeable! Once we decided, options were provided. We were also allowed time alone to discuss in these in private. Decision made. Paperwork drawn. And all in RECORD time as they are extremely efficient! Our windows were measured, and before we knew it (and ahead of schedule), our window coverings were installed. I've recommended Ross Howard Designs to several folks and will continue to do so. Their knowledge, courtesy, customer service and follow through were exemplary! I cannot say enough good things about them! And to Ross Howard Designs, we want to thank you again! We are incredibly pleased with everything!

Amazing store and amazing people. They outfitted my entire house with the Hunter Douglas product. LOVE my shades. Loren knows her product inside and out. Great sense of design and very efficient. Loved them so much my son and daughter-in-law just ordered them for their whole house. The bonus about this store is that they also carry designer fabrics and they will make curtains. I used them for curtains and they are beautiful. Their installers are amazing.

My husband and I went into Ross Howard Designs and was greeted by Loren Cope Wolf. We told her we were looking for motorized roller shades that would give us some privacy for four large windows in our living room. She was so helpful and knowledgeable and showed us several samples. The process was so easy that we were in and out of there before we knew it. We had a budget in mind when we started this process and after picking out what we liked we were also pleased that it was even a little less expensive than what we had budgeted. A bonus in itself these days to be UNDER budget on anything. The installer was very professional and the installation was of excellant quality. I would recommend Ross Howard Design for all your window covering needs.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous. I decided to update my downstairs this year with new floors, paint, and shutters. Down came the long drapes in the master bedroom and the blinds in the living room and office, all replaced with beautiful and elegant shutters. They have transformed the look and feel of all three rooms, especially the MBR. The color was perfectly matched. The installation was impeccable. The huge, almost floor to ceiling window (front of the house) is arched at the top. I was quite concerned about how they would create shutters that fit properly and be manageable. The end result was exquisite. Each side was split into two panels so the shutter blades move freely. A guest recently said that she thought the shutters were the best thing I had done in the remodel! I couldn't be happier. Thank you Loren & Colin!

We purchased electric blinds for our front windows. Loren showed us various options, and helped us identify exactly what we wanted within our budget. Colin came to our home to measure the windows and was able to help us finalize our choice based on our room colors. The blinds came in sooner than we anticipated and fit perfectly in our windows. The installer was excellent - there on time, pleasant and cleaned up afterwards. The entire process was easy from start to finish.

I found Ross Howard Designs on the internet when searching for a Hunter Douglas dealer. I had no previous contact with the company and had no referrals, but I needed window coverings for my condo, one of which was to cover a 101.5" by 188.5" wall of windows. Colin Cope could not have been more helpful. We discussed several options, including shutters, and settled on the Hunter Douglas Silhouettes. Colin worked with my timing seamlessly and with my budget magically. When it came time for the install, Loren had to work around my contractor and an ice storm, but she got it scheduled for me. The service and the porducts were both outstanding, and I could not be happier with my new shades.

Colin Cope is extremely professional, creative and experienced. We saw four different companies in searching for window treatments and Colin was way ahead of the rest in terms of excellence on all aspects of quality of advice, creativity and price. His advice was creative, he understood exactly what i was looking for, he understood my style and that of my home immediately he saw us, he was able to suggest excellent options for me, and still he was very sensitive to pricing from my point of view.. He has tremendous experience with fabrics and and knows what is required to produce an outstanding finish. His installation was immaculate, effiicient and reliable.
I have no hesitation in recommending Colin Hope to anyone and will be asking him to do other projects in my home in 2014.

We were looking for different types of shades for our out of town ranch house. Ross Howard Designs listened to our desires, then illustrated specific types of shades and their attributes which fulfilled our wants. Color samples were mailed to us, window dimensions were emailed to Ross Howard, and the order was ready for installation all in a timely, seamless manner. We installed the motorized shades, the room-darkening cordless shades and regular cordless shades ourselves with minimal hassle and difficulty. One phone call and one face time call to Ross Howard Designs for installation advice and clarification were all that was necessary. The product knowledge of the staff, their genuinely enthusiastic attitude to help us get the right shades for our needs from design to installation, and the showroom with its hands-on exhibits of styles and mechanisms was a real pleasure and delight to us.

I had a great experience working with Ross Howard Designs. I enjoyed that they are a family run business with wonderful customer service. Working with them start to finish of my design project was enjoyable and wouldn't have gone anywhere else.
I was looking for shades that would give me privacy and light control at the same time. Colin and Loren were helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I am very happy with my new Hunter Douglas shades and feel like I made the right decision by trusting their opinions to make my home complete.
I would recommend them to anyone that is needing expertise advice for window covering needs.

Ross Howard Designs was most excellent to work with, and I highly recommend them. Moving into a new house can be completely overwhelming with all of the details to take care of, but I didn't have to worry at all about our window treatments; Ross Howard Designs provided first-class service from start to finish. Not only was the process easy and the staff uber-responsive, their products are exceptional and I always get compliments from visitors on how nice our window treatments look.

Ross Howard Designs offers great selection in a conveniently located showroom in north Dallas. Service and quick turnaround plus excellent follow up and service after the sale.
We purchased Hunter Douglas products from Ross Howard Designs. We had a small glitch with one of the controls on one of the shades but they sent someone out promptly to remedy the situation.
I would definitely recommend and use this company again!
