Hemlock Homes

“We couldn’t be happier with the job Hemlock Homes did on residing our entire house. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented. They transformed the exterior, giving our home a fresh, beautiful look that has definitely boosted its curb appeal. Communication was clear throughout the process, and they respected our timeline and budget. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality siding work with exceptional service!”

I'm one of the lucky home-owners that gets to give the same litany of positive feedback for Hemlock Homes and Andrew Murray. Andrew and his crew built a house for me and my family just as the lockdowns started a few years back. Prices for supplies skyrocketed, I couldn't travel to see the house, and everything seemed topsy-turvy. I could not have been in better hands: Andrew's great intuition, solid crew, and willingness to work together with me through adversity, completed the house on time, well polished, and still well under budget. Building can be a real chore, so finding someone like Andrew can make all the difference. If you're in the market. you should really give him a call.

New & Custom home on rural lot: Working with Andrew and his team at Hemlock Homes was very positive experience from start to finish and I would certainly work with them again. Andrew participated in the process of building this new, custom home from the planning and permitting phase, through the ongoing design process, right to move in with excellent communication and attention to detail. His team went above and beyond to help expedite final stages of the inspections and sign-offs. Andrew's attention to detail with estimating and budgeting helped ensure I was aware of the status of the project from start to finish and could adjust accordingly as each significant decision or milestone came around. The build was managed professionally, finished as planned, under budget, and within the time expected despite delays due to dealings with the local building inspectors.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Andrew Murray and his team at Hemlock Homes to build our dream home in Nelson, BC. From start to finish, Andrew's flexibility, empathy, and understanding made the entire process seamless. He treated us like family, ensuring our vision for the home exceeded our expectations. Andrew's attention to detail and budget consciousness were remarkable. Our beautiful dream home was not only meticulously crafted but also came at an affordable price. The quality of work, coupled with affordability, truly sets Hemlock Homes apart. The team, led by head carpenter Cam, was exceptional. They approached the project with honesty, forthrightness, and a genuine commitment as if they were building their own home. Their advice was invaluable, and they never overpriced their services. Having built homes in the past, we can confidently say that our experience with Hemlock Homes was the best. Andrew's dedication to providing quality homes at an affordable price, coupled with an outstanding team, makes them the top choice for anyone looking to build their dream house. We highly recommend Hemlock Homes for an stress-free and exceptional homebuilding journey.

Thanks to Andrew, his team of carpenters and trades people, Starlight Acres surpassed all our expectations of what we wanted in our forever home. They were all a pleasure to work with, respectful of our space and most of all, very professional. Andrew stayed focused throughout, keeping the project on time and close to on budget which through Covid was a challenge. His contractors and tradespeople worked really well together to coordinate and meet timelines. We highly recommend Hemlock Homes, anyone building or renovating would be lucky to get on his schedule!

Hemlock Homes is very proffesional and fast! They replaced the old single pane windows in our house and built a boot room as well. They showed up when they said they would, kept the work sight clean and were respectful of our space. I would highly recommend this company and am grateful for a warmer more efficient house.

Andrew/Hemlock Homes renovated the roof and gutter structure on my heritage home. What an excellent job! Conscientious, clear and consultative planning, very skilled work. I am a senior. I found Andrew to be sensitive and respectful, with clear guidelines and timelines about his availability when I called. Very ethical in cost. There will be many more renovations, and I will call Andrew every time.

In 2014, I contracted Hemlock Homes to add a mudroom and an outbuilding to my house. The results were spectacular! I was thrilled beyond words and can't thank Andrew enough for his attention to detail, uncompromising integrity and his hard work. That is the reason I hired him a few more times, the most recent a bathroom renovation (again it turn out great!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hemlock Homes for any home renovation.

Andrew Murray and his team did a great job on our home. He was punctual and worked hard. His final bill was less than his original estimate. Their attention to detail was fabulous and they were very cost conscious when it came to maximizing the materials for the job. I would highly recommend Hemlock homes. They are honest, reliable, skilled, and hard working.

Andrew is really great to work with. He asks us the right questions to come up with the perfect design for our home. He has a keen eye for detail and design. The sub trades he works with are all very clean and respectful. I will hire him for all of our future projects!
