I made feeders myself using reused products

Hello

my name is Alon

I live in Israel

I am feeding sunbirds (Nectarinia Osea) in my garden

I made my feeders out of reused products

It can be used for sunbirds and hummingbirds.

it is wasps protectsd

there is also an answer for the ants and wasps problem

the sunbirds are now nesting in my garden and I have 2'nd generation.

Hi Alon,

Welcome to the Hummingbird Forum, and thanks for the link to your blog! The sunbirds are absolutely beautiful!!

Your homemade feeder looks like it would work very well with hummingbirds. The ant trap is very similar to ones we make using caps from spray paint cans. However, we can't use Vaseline for fear of it getting on the flight feathers.

Here are pics of hummingbird feeders I made using PVC pipe and empty bottles. The 1st uses a 3 L wine bottle, the 2nd uses a 1.5 L tequila bottle...

I watched a few of your videos....sounds like a hummingbird airport! LOL That is amazing!
Can you tell me how you made the feeders in the above pictures? That's awesome!

Thanks gawdinfever!! The link below will get you to the original post about the feeders, all the info is there. They're easy to make, the only additional tips I can offer are to make sure your unions are clean and use lots of glue so your joints are watertight.
