My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Does anyone know what this is, and how to trim it back?

We have these bushes in our yard by the sidewalk, and they grow like crazy. They have these beautiful swoopy branches, no flowers and the leaves get really beautiful and dark in the fall. I've cut them back in the spring, but the branches are so lonnnnng, I was wondering how much I was supposed to cut them back, and if I should do it in the spring or fall. We are in Idaho Falls. If you even know what kind of a plant/it's name, I would be better able to google the info on how to take care of them. Thanks!

    I don't know the answer but I have some advice: Go over to the Rocky Mountain Gardening forum and ask there.


    I just come back here about once a month ... out of curiosity. If you look at this forum, you will see that the most recent post was mid-August.


    If I'm out of line suggesting RMG forum instead of this one, someone should start a conversation about getting this forum to some sort of viability -- beyond once a month, 2 month, yearly postings.


    The welcome mat is out at RMG with gardeners from all the Rocky Mountain states, Alberta and British Columbia.
