Can I hang sheers behind drapes without a double curtain rod?

I've purchased a couple of lovely curtain panels and wanted to use my existing curtain rod which I purchased to fit the decor of my room. However, I now want to add sheer panels behind the curtains to create some privacy while still getting daylight into the room.

These are stationary curtains and will not be opened/closed once they are installed. The curtains have a pole pocket and something called "tunnel tab construction", but I also have curtain rings and I'm not sure how I will hang them yet.

Since I already have a curtain rod, is it possible to install the sheers without buying a different double curtain rod? Can I just buy a bracket that holds two rods? Or can I attach the sheers to the curtains themselves? Please help!!
