Generally here (Z-7 Va ) they already have tomato plants out but it's been so cold the brocs and cabbage are hard to find even now. If you see pepper plants they should have Eggplants at that time, a bit later than tomatoes usually.

Haven't seen any Ichiban for several years. Last I heard the seeds weren't even available any longer.

What I heard is that the "Ichiban" plants Bonnie sells aren't the real thing because they are called "Ichiban type."

Can you find a local nursery/grower/farmers market? They usually have plants out at the right time for the right area. Nancy

You probably need to wait until it get's a bit warmer. Probably around 4/1-4/15. They come out when the Okra comes out.
