Boulder indoor/outdoor living remodelTraditional Kitchen, Denver

The kitchen is large space with an open setting. While the island is small and only seats two, there is still space in the dining area and the window bar.

Sorry if this question has already been covered - are these windows aluminium? Are they double glazed? Do they insulate better than steel framed windows? Are they more economical than steel? Thankyou
  • PRO
    Hi Houscom,

Yes, NanaWall certainly offers all-aluminum systems as photographed above. We offer products that are double and triple glazed with many models being NFRC certified and Energy Star rated. We do not offer steel systems. Please give us a call at 1(800) 873-5673 and we'll be glad to discuss your project with you.

How much would a window like this cost? Approximately? Looking for a window just like that - 5-5 feet wide by 3-4 feet high ... Thanks!

    It's Caesarstone. Thanks for asking!
  • halseyf
I have a client who is drawing inspiration from this kitchen. What color(s) of Caesarstone is used? They particularly like the dark gray selection.

Not sure if those would work on a floating home or not. The manufacturer is NanaWall. I'm sure they can answer that question for you.
  • PRO
@houseboatsuzi Yes, NanaWall can work on a floating home. We did a floating home in Portland and we are also featured on one of the Niagra Falls tour boats. See the attached photos.

The refrigerator is on the wall to the right. It's not visible in this photo. If you look at the photo taken from outside looking in through the bar, you can see a sliver of it. It's stainless. Thank you for inquiring!
  • ilovetoswim
    Gotcha. Thanks for the answer!

    Thank you!

This project was completed almost a decade ago! The brand was Sherwin Williams. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to locate the specific color name as it was so long ago.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for your inquiry! These cabinets are from the Omega Dynasty collection. They are Mecca Flat Panel Maple cabinets in the color Pearl.

Thank you for your inquiry. The paint was coordinated by the homeowner, so we do not have that information. Sorry we can't be of help.

Thanks for your question. However, there are no rails in this particular photo, so I'm not sure to what you are referring. Maybe you could clarify your question, and I'd be happy to try to get an answer for you.

Thanks for inquiring. The homeowners purchased the stools, but I believe they came from IKEA.

4. Try folding windows. NanaWall windows fold up, allowing you to completely open up the kitchen windows to let in the breeze and sun. With their minimal frames, they are a good choice for modern and contemporary homes.

Do You Need a Work Triangle?"The work triangle is important, but it isn't the only solution," says interior designer Alison Glen. Traditionally, kitchen layouts revolve around a basic connection between the refrigerator, stove and sink. While this shape keeps everything within arm's reach while you're cooking, sticking to it too strictly can actually make a kitchen's design more complicated. More about the kitchen work triangle

Windows - should I keep cabinets instead of full window?
