The depth of the peninsula worktop is 795mm and the worktop overhang is 147mm.

OK, that makes sense. I'm renovating a small kitchen and am determining how narrow I can go with my own peninsula worktop. Counter-depth (24 inches) seems too small and I fear would appear strange. But the extra 5-6 inches makes it work. Thanks. (Love this kitchen btw - beautiful.)

Hi, thanks for your interest. Aren't they lovely. These are called Tolix "H" Stool, our client purchased them so we are not sure where exactly they got them from. However, you could try this online store:

We hope this helps.

5. Refresh your paint. It’s a fact of life (and interiors) that every few years, the paintwork will probably be in need of a fresh coat. Now could be a good time to get going: It’s still too chilly to spend much time outdoors and, once the job is done, you’ll be free to enjoy the sunshine. Plus you’ll doubtless feel far happier when your newly painted room looks as fresh and light as this kitchen.Bulletproof Decorating: How to Pick the Right Kind of Paint

“To help the kitchen function as a flexible family space, we added casual seating at the peninsula,” Higham says. “Now it can work as a breakfast bar or somewhere for friends to perch while the owner is cooking.”Tolix H stools: John Lewis
Anna Tobin added this to How to Make Your Kitchen a Sociable Space
Brighten it up. No one wants to spend time in a dark and dingy room, so make your kitchen feel as light and bright as possible — you want people to feel uplifted as soon as they enter. Painting the space white or in a pale shade is one way to do this, but think about your window treatments too. Here, shutters cover only the lower part of the windows, allowing natural light to flood in at the top. Also consider whether you can open the space by removing walls, and include a mirror or two, as these can be useful in reflecting light around a room.
