Not an expert opinion, but this bed looks like an air mattress, used in a pinch to make the space picture ready.

How to decorate a large wall in family room with 12' ceilings? - I have a large wall flanked by a cast stone fireplace on one side and 8' tall door on the other side. Only 42" TV on medium size media chest along the wall. I have 3 scroll mirrors hung vertically on the side closest to the door but still feel that the space above the TV needs something..........any ideas? A large mirror doesn't seem right since it would be hung too tall to be able to see into. Ideas please! Thanks!

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Fred Albert added this to How to Make Any Small Room Seem Bigger
Built-ins, like this bed, take up a smaller footprint than freestanding pieces of furniture. And because the furniture is part of the surrounding architecture, it takes up less visual space as well. Plus, you can get the benefit of extra storage.
Becky Harris added this to 15 Cozy Book Nooks and What They Want You to Read
15. If none of these appeal, you may be having trouble adjusting to the end of beach-reading time. Try to ease into it with a nautical perch. Just go with the theme — this reading nook has the cozy feeling of a ship’s bunk. Finally finish Moby Dick, pull out The Old Man and the Sea, Jaws, Life of Pi, Skin Tight … you get the idea. After you’re done with any of those, you won’t be so hot on the whole ocean thing for a while. Prepare a pitcher of saltwater. Just kidding. I’m thinking orange juice, to fight off any sympathetic scurvy. So, I took my turn, now it’s yours. What are some of the reading lists you’re getting from these rooms? Please share them in the Comments section.
