We have installed white-ish splitface in a shower before, and even with regular maintenance, it has not discolored or even grown mildew. The client still loves it and has no complaints about keeping it clean. of course, it is all about what YOU as the user will be comfortable with, so if you do not want to have texture in the shower, you can always use it elsewhere.

one of those wand "steam cleaners" would likely work too for sterilizing. i would never put behind a toilet & really as commented earlier, not really suitable for a toothpaste splatter zone either! Brush & when necessary a TSP cleaner would cut through pretty much anything. Vacuum or dust regularly

This is NOT on a mesh! It is a stack stone! Lowes sells this product. Very easy to install. Start from the bottom they are heavy. This picture is showing quarts stone.

Love the look of the stacked stone but how hard is it to keep clean, dust free?

The stain used on the cabinets is called Brown Rain. We don't have the information for the wall paint. Sorry.

You commented that you put this up on your bathroom walls. I am thinking about doing the same for our master bathroom. How has the upkeep been? Does it get very dusty or collect hair or fuzz? How do you clean it?

The basics: Ledgestone or stacked stone tile is usually made of natural stone — commonly slate or quartz — pre-cut into thin, rectangular pieces at different heights. When installed, the stone wall has a dramatic texture that creates an immediate focal point in bathrooms.

Love the flagstone wall. Certainly an idea for downstairs bathroom?

stacked stone...would that be a cleaning nightmare in a bathroom?????
