Redbud Design
Situated on a corner lot, this unusual property had a swimming pool in the front yard. The small round pool and the retaining wall holding it in place were in dire need of repair. The landscape plan we developed for the client included re-establishing the structural integrity of the wall and a complete makeover of the pool and pool deck. It also added a small seat wall beyond the pool which expanded the entertaining space and and added additional space for new plantings. The bright colored plant palette requested by the owner includes plants such as Bougainvillea, Phormium, Guardsman, and Princess Flower.
This design also addressed new fencing, a vine trellis, a small pool equipment house, numerous decorative pots, large custom redwood planters and low voltage lighting.

A recent customer in Buford, GA, faced an intricate plumbing challenge—completely deteriorated cast iron drain pipes. The situation was dire, with certain sections of the pipe worn completely through. This not only led to persistent backups but also resulted in the unsettling distribution of unsanitary wastewater. We are so proud of this most recently completed project in Barrhaven! With newly upgraded windows and doors, our customer wanted to revitalize their front porch and rear yard as well.
On the front porch we removed the original aluminum soffit and wood column, replacing them with beautiful cedar soffit and a sleek aluminum column.
At the rear we removed the old wooden deck that had been poorly installed and in dire need of replacement.
In it's place we constructed an attractive pressure treated wood deck with multiple levels and a wide set of stairs. Situated on helical piles from Techno Metal Post and built with material provided by BMR, the deck features a picture frame deck edge with mid span border for a custom look. 3/4" clear limestone was placed on weedmat under the deck for a clean area to store outdoor items.
Aluminum railing from Imperial Kool-Ray was used to provide a strong and maintenance free guardrail, giving the deck a nice finishing touch.
We would also like to mention the great appreciation we had for the cooler full of ice, drinks and fruit that was left for us every morning by our customers. It was such a nice gesture and wanted again to say Thank You!

In a beautiful suburb on the north side of Houston, Texas, Joe and Kristen discovered their dream home—a property with a great lot, situated in a fantastic neighborhood with a thoughtfully designed floor plan. They had been drawn to the house for its charm and had admired the kitchen, which had been tastefully remodeled a few years earlier by a contractor who, despite doing excellent work, was no longer in business. However, upon moving in, they quickly realized that their master bathroom was woefully inadequate and in dire need of immediate repair.
Determined to turn their bathroom into a luxurious retreat, Joe and Kristen sought out Houston Bath & Kitchen, a reputable design-build firm renowned for their meticulous process and outstanding results. Tile Doctor Ltd
Not too long ago, I was called up to the harbour town and seaside resort of Ilfracombe, situated on the North Devon coast. Ilfracombe is a historic area within Devon, with the Celts having first settled on its hilly plains during the Iron Age.
My client asked me to take a look at a Quarry tiled floor which was in need of a serious amount of cleaning. This largely due to the fact that there were dozens of layers of old sealer on the floor which had been left untouched from many years previously, as well as a significant build-up of general dirt and muck.
In order to give this floor a thorough cleaning, I needed to use a strong combination of products, namely NanoTech HBU Remover mixed with Tile Doctor Remove & Go. Nanotech HBU is a heavy build-up remover which uses nano-sized particles to penetrate below tough stains, and lift them out of the stone, whilst Remove & Go is a multi-purpose stripper that provided additional help in removing the many layers of sealer left on the floor. I applied the solution to the floor and left it to dwell for 40 minutes, before using a Polybrush to work it into the Quarry tiles.
Since the floor really was in dire need of a deep clean after years of neglect, I also used a black buffing pad attached to a buffing machine, as well as a steam machine to make sure I removed as much of the old sealer and dirt as possible. This was slow and painstaking work, but it was worth it to get the Quarry tiles back to looking their best again. Once this was complete, I rinsed the floor several times before leaving it for a few days to dry before sealing.
On my return visit, the floor was dry enough to commence sealing. It was important that the floor was dry and any excess moisture had evaporated because it has the potential to compromise the sealer as it cures leading to unexpected results. My sealer of choice was Tile Doctor Seal & Go, a sealer which is suitable for use on internal unsealed, porous surfaces including textured Quarry, Slate, Victorian tile and several others. I carefully applied several coats allowing each coat to dry before applying the next to provide a subtle low-sheen finish that will help protect the surface from stains in the future.
The results were excellent, especially considering that the floor had evidently not been treated to a proper clean for many years.

Tile Doctor Ltd
This customer from Woking had a Quarry tiled kitchen floor that she simply didn’t think could be restored. The floor had been unearthed after many years of being covered by a layer of levelling compound cement and then linoleum. Indeed, the situation certainly looked dire, but I carried out a successful test clean on a patch of the floor where the cement was at its thickest to show that it would be possible to conduct a full restoration. Having seen the results, the customer was more than happy for me to get the work underway.
To begin the restoration, I soaked small sections with water and Tile Doctor Remove and Go our heavy duty coatings remover. The solution was left to dwell for a short period to soften the cement, before I used the heat from a steamer in combination with a hand scraper to begin lifting away the muck. As you can probably imagine, this was an arduous and intensive process which took a full four days to fully complete.
Next, I cleaned the cement-free tiles using our high alkaline tile cleaning product Tile Doctor Pro Clean diluted 1 part cleaner with 3 parts water. This helped to eradicate the leftover muck once I had removed the bulk of the cement. I then sprayed Tile Doctor Grout Clean Up onto the grout lines and tiles to fully neutralise them and also remove any cement residue. Finally, I steamed the floor and left it for a week to dry out completely.
Upon my return to the property I sealed the floor with two coats of Tile Doctor Colour Grow, an impregnating sealer which really enhances the natural colours stone, and four coats of Tile Doctor Seal and Go, a topical sealer which provides a high quality sheen finish and durable protection against stains.
