A modest 1800 square foot house and 760 square foot garage workshop on a tight budget. This house is located in a semi-suburban / semi-industrial area of Houston and takes it's material palatte from the surrounding buildings. The house is positioned around the existing tree canopy and is picked up off the ground to allow for tree roots, water run off, and to otherwise minimize site coverage. The interior is designed as one large space oriented north with lots of windows and daylight. Renowned photographer Judy Davis captured Anthony Wilder Design/Build's NW Washington outdoor remodeling + landscaping project during the early summer months. The intent of the design is to bring to life our client's southern roots while incorporating a European influence. Now, the outdoor terrace is the perfect spot for entertaining friends and family regardless of the season.

This 2,300-square-foot contemporary ranch is perched on a lake bluff preparing for take-off. The house is composed of three wing-like metal roofs, stucco walls, concrete floors, a two-story library, a screen porch and lots and lots of glass. The primary airfoil reflects the slope of the bluff and the single story extends the ground plane created by the pine-bow canopy.
