The library is a room within a room -- an effect that is enhanced by a material inversion; the living room has ebony, fired oak floors and a white ceiling, while the stepped up library has a white epoxy resin floor with an ebony oak ceiling.

With these client’s fondness for Hawaiiana style, the Master Bedroom is a sacred space for both a peaceful rest and an infusion of positive energy. Designed by renowned architect and 'sacred geometer' David Yarbrough, this sacred space in Corbett, Oregon combines three functions under one roof: a Chinese medicine healing arts center, a community center, and a 1400 SF new home. An earth plaster, cedar chip, clay slip, natural wood slat wall system combines traditional construction techniques with energy efficiency to create a healthy environment for denizens, care providers, and patients. This photo shows the Sun/Moon Garden design. The standing reclaimed barn stones represent the eight planets in their orbit around the sun. The circular orbits are suggested through the use of plant material. The day and night color theme seasonally ripples throughout the entire design. Outdoor showers are a sacred ritual of Cape Cod summers, and these spaces are going upscale in materials. Solar night lights allow 24-hour use of the shower, while a separate dressing area with hooks holding beach towels keeps them and clothing dry. A porthole-style window allows the user to discretely glimpse the lake while showering.
