Is the Gray Horse paint on the walls at 100%?
  • Nancy

This is a beautiful combo in that hallway. I am looking for a nice grey for my Master Bedroom walls. I have soft white cabinets, crown and base moulding and Fireplace hearth and surround of Black granite with white veining. I do not want a grey with undertone of green, tan, or blue. What do you suggest?

What was the piano room originally used for? Also concerned about the piano being near outside walls and the radiator. Beautiful room and colors.

Good eye. Your guess is really close. The ceiling height is 9'2" and the wainscot is 4'8".

Hi Sheri, one more question about the wainscoting: what is the height of the baseboard?

It all depends on the feeling you want - when the ceilings are the same colors as the walls, they disappear into a general feeling of color. If there is crown or other moulding, this breaks up and divides the walls from the ceilings. My ceilings are all some kind of color -- not white. Because I have crown moulding in white or off-white, having the ceiling be some color creates contrast that makes the crisp woodwork stand out. My new kitchen remodel took suggestions from the Benjamin Moore web site - quiet moments for the walls, and muslin for the ceiling. They have lots of lovely recommendations for good color combinations.

Can you please tell me what the wall color is?

Since greys can be in the warm or cool category, it can vary. In this house the more golden tone on the floor worked well with Grey Horse by Benjamin Moore. I'd suggest choosing a floor stain color that you like first--since its more permanent--and then choose the wall color.

I'm wondering if the wall and trim colors would go well with my selection of Manhattan Hard Grey from Idea Ceramica. What would you suggest looking at?

You asked me about using Grey Horse and I don't think it would work with the brown trim. Its a cool color and looks best with white trim.

You have a sharp eye. It's a shadow line between the crown moulding and a picture rail below. I had the contractor match the original molding. Thanks for the question.

Hi Sheri I love this grey and due to a recent flood in home and need to paint master bath , bed and. Living room .is this too much for one color? Secondly my ceiling in living room has cut outs that we normally paint darker . Do you recommend a shade or two darker ?

It is an illusion in the photo but Juno makes a gold trim. I usually suggest 4" diameter recessed lights with a white trim so that they don't draw attention. Thanks for the question.

You are correct! They are oak. Sorry, I don't have an exact stain color for you, but we were matching part of an existing floor.

The lovely piano is an antique baby grand Steinway. If I understand you right, you're wondering about the width of the room. I believe it was about 11 feet wide. It was a close fit, but this location allowed the player to look out the windows. If I didn't answer your question, please let me know.

This isn't bad either, part of the living room, but its own room and has lots of built in shelves for the piano music and accessories
