I am a designer and have a very similar boat from the 1920's. I've been looking to have it restored but who to trust? it's been to no avail other than shipping it overseas to the UK, which I won't do blindly - what tells you this boat isn't vintage???

The sailboat is an old purchase made several years ago through Williams Sonoma Homes.

I think it's glass slipper by BM
  • nickychips
Thanks! I checked my BM fan deck and Glass Slipper looks grey but in this picture, it looks blue. Anyway, a very nice colour and one I might adopt for my main floor.

Such a beautiful room! The pops of colors with the pillows and throws against the blue is wonderful

If this is a question about the floors, I'd love to know too. They are not dark, and not light - just right.

Couches are from Verellen. Linen fabric. wood/cane chairs are from an antique store in South Miami & pillows are also from a small boutique in South Miami

Can you give me a better description of the French caned chair? I assume it is a reproduction but maybe not - can you tell me the style and possibly the year it was made? Gorgeous interior design.

I know this is a little late, but that appears to be a wood burning fireplace with vented gas logs.

You can do something very similar with an unvented Isokern fireplace. Here's an example that we installed:

P.S. we only installed the marble mantel, we did not supply it. Fortunately, the homeowner did not notice the upside-down swags on the header.

The actual room color is Glass Slipper by Benjamin Moore, the wood paneling & moldings are painted in Dove White by Benjamin Moore, & the wood doors are stained.

I just painted my bedroom Glass Slipper because it was the shade blue we wanted, It looks green it turns out even though I sampled it on a wall and it looked blue. Its green. It does not look like it does in this photo. Closer to a deeper Sea Salt. A Pleasant color but not what we were going for.

The chandelier sockets came with the light fixture. This chandelier is by visual comfort.

    What Houzz contributors are saying:

Fred Albert added this to The Case for In-Between ColorsAug 20, 2013

Boasting just a whisper of blue, this wall color (Benjamin Moore's Glass Slipper) feels like the perfect fit for this coastal home — but avoids the blue and white beach cliché.

Laura Gaskill added this to Unify Your Home in 8 Simple Design AreasJan 6, 2013

In this home, the black frames are repeated on a number of windows and doors. For a subtle and sophisticated look, try a wash of gray or crisp white instead.

Samantha Schoech added this to Color Guide: How to Work With Light GrayNov 20, 2012

A very blue gray (Benjamin Moore's Glass Slipper) helps bridge the gap between the traditional elements in this room and the modern windows. The dollops of color relax it and give it warmth.

Kristy Woodson Harvey and Beth Woodson added this to Sailboats Steer Rooms Into Nautical ChicApr 30, 2012

Three-dimensional art makes wall pop. We adore the way this beautiful sailboat instantly draws the eye.
