  • rosalie022356

Please share the grout color used. Is it the same on both the wall and floors???

Old glass door was a PITA. The new one we got has TPC surface protection (a transparent polymer coating). We've had it a year, squeegee after each use and clean monthly or so with Diamond Finish cleaner. No soap scum. No problems at all. SOOO much better than before. Shower curtains get mildew, too - this is much better.

The grout is a shade darker. I do not know the manufacturer / color, but it is not stark white. It is soft gray.

Ban the Bar SoapFinally, if you want to significantly reduce the amount of soap scum on glass without eliminating showers or using the facilities at the gym, cleaning experts and Houzzers alike offer this advice: Ban the bar soap.Almost all bar soaps contain talc, which produces the buildup. Consider switching to a non-talc-containing soap (such as Dove or natural soap), or opt for liquid soap instead.Of course, there’s no escaping water spots, so some regular maintenance will still be required. It just won’t be as much.More on Houzz Can-Do Cleaning Strategies for Busy PeopleGet Grout Magically Clean — Stains and AllFind a home professionalShop for home products

The architecture also inspired classic period details, like subway tile in the walk-in shower, hexagonal tile on the floor and beadboard on the walls, honoring the pedigree of the 1930s home.A clear glass shower door allows the rest of the room to benefit from the window's natural light. Similarly, the bathroom is separated from the rest of the suite by French doors, which allow the bedroom to benefit from all of the natural light.

Would love to have a bench in the shower. Even a wood seat purchased separately
