Very talented designer who invited us to her home, sat down & listened to our ideas/wants/needs and added her own creative input to draw an awesome plan. When you choose a designer/architect there are many around the Lake Norman/Charlotte NC region, we spoke to several! We know in the end we choose the best one - Ashley J Design.

We were so fortunate to be able to work with Ashley. She was a breeze to work with. She took the time to really understand our thoughts and ideas and checked out our space to solidify our vision and her understanding of our vision. She offered her own suggestions along the way and the result was a wonderful collaborative effort that turned out better than we could have imagined. She was very thoughtful and meticulous in her design and really helped us get the visual of what the final product would look like. She recommended various vendors along the way and showed us design elements that we didn't even know we needed or wanted. We have a smaller space to work with but she managed to incorporate every aspect that we were looking for. Her husband called it the 'swiss army knife' of back porches and he was right! Ashley had amazing vision for our newly-purchased Lake Norman home, a major remodel by Grainda Builders leaving no space untouched, while adding 700 sq ft of new space. I am pleased and delighted with the renovation plan created by Ashley J Design. I purchased a 65 yr-old single-family property near Uptown Charlotte. This 1½- story residence is an extensive renovation in progress and required an interior architect who could create a design that included all my must-haves, i.e. laundry room, 1st floor ensuite bedroom, and 2½ baths. A web search of Charlotte-based design firms and companies brought me to the Ashley J Design webpage. After reading about her company, I believed that she might be receptive to my smaller-scale project and would view it as cost-effective. Fortunately, I guessed right and lucked out. Ashley was a true professional. Clear goals and objectives were set before each of our meetings so I knew what to expect and how to prepare. She made herself accessible via emails, texts, and phone calls and was responsive to my ideas and suggestions so I never felt abandoned or ignored. When the time came to coordinate the interior and external designs, she eagerly collaborated with the structural engineer on the project. As promised in the renovation design agreement, she delivered elevation drawings, site, floor, and foundation plans that exceeded my original expectations. Should she be available, I would use her services again for other structures and projects on the property site.

We worked with Ashley on the design and plans for our major home remodel. She was amazing!! She listened carefully to our ideas and desires and then transformed them into a reality. She also offered some great suggestions that made a huge difference to our final layout and overall build. Ashley is kind and respectful and she is quick to respond to questions. She communicates with you during her design process and gives updates frequently. We were so lucky to be able to work with her. We started out with a different designer and I can tell you it was a night and day difference when we finally started working with Ashley.

Ashley J is amazing. Her knowledge from site plan to finished product is impeccable. She can guide you through all aspects of your project and has the knowledge of construction and end design. Ashley helped us design and layout a new garage with apartment and pool. She has a very friendly way and came up with great ideas. We took her plans through permitting and are under construction now. We would highly recommend her and plan to use her again.
