Catalyst Architects is a 'hands-on' practice dedicated to working closely with clients in the creation of successful architecture. Founded in 1988, Catalyst has attracted clients from across the United Stated and Europe. With the goal of creating lasting places, each project approached as a thoughtful blending of the clients personality and memory with the project's context and setting. The firm's body of work reflects a specialization in the design of unique homes and other design-intensive project types, including church master planning, historic preservation, urban infill, and small scale commercial work. the firm's experience in designing buildings in a challenging costal environment has created an expertise in design methods and materials which combine traditional craft with 'state of the art' techniques.
