Jason is a design professional. We enjoyed working with Kurtz Design Studio for the layout of our Preschool design. He made the process of getting the required permits and approvals easy. We were required to get a plumbing variance and Jason made the task easy by providing the required paperwork and letting us know the process of working with the plumbing board. He also gave us great ideas on the layout and flow of the floor plan of the school. We are currently working with Jason on a new project and that is also going well.

As a construction management and contracting company we have been fortunate to work on several projects over the past 6 years that Jason has been the architect for. Jason has always been extremely responsive and incredibly easy to work with. Jason provided architectural plans for an update on an old two family rental property in Somerville. He brought many fresh, workable ideas to the project. I appreciated his realistic view of the structure and understanding of what I wanted to accomplish. His plans added years to the usefulness of the apartments and my tenants really love living there. I have no hesitation in recommending Jason, he is a professional. And a really nice guy!

We hired Kurtz Design Studio, LLC for the 3 family renovation and condo conversion project. Jason Kurtz was providing a full scope architectural services, including the floor plan re-design, coordinating with the building department, architectural and structural supervision and revisions, master plans for the new condominium. The project was quite complex and we're glad we had hired Jason and could count on his knowledge, expertise, and attention to details. Would highly recommend and hire again.

We did an addition and renovation to Anytime Fitness in Clinton MA. Everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I would recommend Kurtz Design.

We added an extra bedroom, garage, half bathroom, master bathroom and closets, reconfigured the first floor and completely redisgned the kitchen. Jason was an excellent communicator and very responsive. We also really liked Jason's process. He took the time to do a complimentary walk-through (many architects don't!). During this first meeting, he listened to our needs and provided ideas. The process was equally smooth upon hiring him. He met us in the evenings to iterate upon the design. He delivered the plot plan, architectural, and engineering plans. He worked with the contractor to address a few surprises when the walls were opened up and visited the site a few times. At the end of the project, he checked in with us to make sure the final product met our needs. We are happy with the final product, which included some creative design details. We highly recommend him.

We hired Kurtz Design Studio to transform our Great room into a suitable living area for my mother-In-law. Jason went above and beyond our expectations. She sold her home very quickly so we had to move up the time line which Jason did without any complaints. He is one the most professional Architects I have worked with and I work with Architects all the time for business. His knowledge of what was needed for my aging mother-In-law was extremely helpful. The project was done on the new time line and with in our budget. Jason was a pleasure to work with and I would hire again for my next project.

My wife and I live in Upton MA abutting the State Forest. We wanted to build a one level a 2,400 s.f. energy efficient home on an area with considerable ledge. We knew conceptually what we wanted for rooms and amenities. But, getting your ideas onto an architectural drawing is not an easy task. We interviewed several architects before hiring Jason. We choose him because of his experience in residential design, reasonable fees, and lived in the area. Jason listened to what was important to us and provided several design options. He explained why some design options would work well and why others ideas we had considered would not. Jason was always prepared and on time for appointments, offering great suggestions, and was very easy to work with. The design for our new house is ready to go and we hope to break ground within the next six weeks. Jason did a great job advising and guiding us through the design process. We hired Jason Kurtz of Kurtz Design Studio in 2012 to renovate the third floor attic of our 1884 Victorian Home in Southborough, MA. Jason provided excellent ideas and oversight of this major renovation which included installing central heat and air, expanding a bathroom and adding a shower, and complete re-design of the entire layout of the previous attic space. He was extremely creative, personal, and collaborative. He worked with an engineer during the design process, helped oversee critical aspects of the project with the contractors, and handled all the permitting. We are so pleased with the result of his work and we have an amazing, open loft style play room with an office, bedroom, and bath on the third floor which has increased our living space significantly. We highly recommend Kurtz Design Studio.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Jason on two projects. The first was a renovation of an existing space. Our old choppy house needed an update. Jason understood our vision and delivered an outstanding design plan. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. He was able to bring a lot of interesting ideas that we had never thought of on our own. We loved working with Jason so much that when we decided to add to our existing home, we called him right away. Again, we were thrilled with the plans and are looking forward to the final product (completion about 1 month away!). Working with Jason is very collaborative process.
