My husband and I had been talking for years about putting an addition on our home. We met with many architects but were really impressed with John and Julie the moment we met with them. While our job was small by comparison to many of the other works they take on, they treated us like the biggest job in town. Julie was incredibly responsive to all of our questions and the designs they put forth showed that they really understood our requirements and what was important to us during this process. Even after the plans were completed, they were always willing to assist with as needed questions from us or the contractor. They were really wonderful to work with and it has been incredible to see our dream home come to life. I would recommend them to anyone looking to engage with an architect firm.

We used Marshall Sabatini for a full home renovation including a two-story addition. Julie and John worked with us to create a space that works perfectly for our family. They took our list of needs/wants and came back with so many great ideas. We worked together to finalize that vision and then they turned them into plans that met all the requirements for permitting along with what our contractor needed. We are so happy with the final product - their level of thoroughness and expertise is seen throughout the house and its details. Julie and John have a great network within the area, too which is a huge benefit. I can't imagine taking on another project this big again :) but if I did, I would turn to Marshall Sabatini immediately.

John and Julie were incredibly professional, easy to work with, and provided the sound guidance we needed as we remodeled a 120-year-old home and a barn structure on the back of the property. They provided us with an estimate from the time we thought about purchasing the property, guiding us on anticipated work that would likely be needed and the costs of their services. After purchasing the property, we went through 10+ detailed iterations through phone calls and emails to develop the final architectural plans. In addition, they priced out different engineering firms to help give us a piece of mind that the remodel would be structurally sound. The plans laid out by the architecture firm and the structural engineering firm were detailed and passed through permit inspections with Burrough without challenges. Our general contractor has been dutifully following the plans without any need to reapproach Marshall Sabatini. Of note, we did not use (nor did we pay for it) them as project managers or interior designers. Some firms offer those services. We were comfortable managing those project management roles and details ourselves.

Jon and Julie are easy to work with, responsive, and did an amazing job designing our vacation home addition. They patiently ittreated through the design process with us, incorporating our suggestions and changes, and produced drawings from which our contractor executed the build We unequivocally recommend their services.

The architects are Marshall Sabatini did a fantastic job on our project - not only working with us to establish a design that satisfied our needs, but also by supporting us in the township zoning approval process via participation in the board hearing. Overall, the project was a tremendous success and we are very pleased with the final result.

I highly recommend Marshall Sabatini | Architecture +. The staff went above and beyond during the entire process to meet the needs of my wife and I. A major renovation can be a very stressful process. When it came to architect part of the process, we had no stress at all. We felt that our feedback was always welcomed during the revision process and the final design is everything we wanted. I now understand how important having a good architect during a major home addition project. It can be a wild ride dealing with a major construction project that lasts months, but I would jump on the ride over and over again if Marshall Sabatini | Architecture + was our architect!

We were very pleased with the work of Marshall Sabatini. We worked with Julie B and John M on a second floor master suite addition. We took an existing cathedral ceiling, raised the roof to allow room for the addition that was connected to the balance of the second floor by a connecting walkway/bridge. While we had a general plan of what we wanted in mind, they helped with the fine details and also provided suggestions that we hadn't previously thought of into the plan. It wasn't until the finished product that we fully realized all of the small attention to details in the design. This was an addition to our home and they created all of these small touches to make it look like the addition had always been in the original design. They were extremely responsive to questions and never hesitated to stop by during the design review. We have a few other projects in the future that we would definitely use them for.

JPOrleans hired Marshall Sabatini to repurpose an old cattle barn into a new 6,000 square foot community clubhouse for our Spring Oak community. Marshall Sabatini went above-and-beyond to ensure the historical integrity of the building, whilst incorporating all modern amenities into the clubhouse. The final product is a truly superb facility.

The room that Julie designed for us looks so great. People are amazed that it use to be a garage. We get so many complements on the flow with the house and the windows/light. It has given us so much more highly usable and pleasant space.

After seeing the gorgeous design that Marshall Sabatini created for our neighbor's house addition, we hired them for our two story addition project. We have not been disappointed. John and Julie have been very prompt, professional and easy to communicate with. They listened to our wishes, likes and dislikes in a design. It has been easy to ask questions and bounce ideas back and forth. Julie came up with a design that we are super excited about. In addition, Marshall Sabatini does all of the leg work to ensure that all drawings and design are within the rules of zoning, code and have approval from structural engineering. This was a huge plus for the builder to know that the architectural drawings were up to snuff and would not have any issues with the township. We have been super happy with our dealings with Marshall Sabatini, and would certainly use them again.

This May 2018 will mark the one-year anniversary in my new home designed by John Marshall and the Marshall Sabatini Architectural team. Considering that I had never owned a home, designing and building one seemed like a huge leap to take all at once. Initially my plans were to purchase a new construction home, which is how I found Marshall Sabatini. They had designed a property which I really liked and had submitted an offer to buy. When my offer was not accepted and I didn’t seem to be able to find another property meeting my needs, I wondered how difficult could it be just to build a home from ground up. Especially since most of the properties I was interested in were in a pre-construction phase and offered the ability to modify the plans. So I met with John Marshall and a few other architects to explore the possibility. What set John Marshall apart from the rest was his enthusiasm for my vision and desire to have my business. I can’t emphasize enough, I knew nothing about home building or ownership for that matter. Yet, he gave me the confidence needed to take on the massive undertaking. When I arrived at his office, my first thought was that my GPS had guided me to the wrong location. It’s in an unassuming barn, not what I was expecting and unlike any of the offices of the other architects. His staff was equally as welcoming, I was quickly greeted and made to feel like my project was much more than just a single family dwelling. I knew immediately that I would be comfortable working with John and his team. For those who may not know, anyone with a smartphone can download an app which will allow you to design your dream home. With that said, you need an architect to actually get one built. Among all the many moving parts, you must comply with all the zoning and building codes for your particular location. Your architect needs to be intimately familiar with all of them in your area or you’re plans won’t be approved. Marshall Sabatini efficiently design my home and guided me through the approval process. In short, I wanted a modern/contemporary townhouse with a one car garage approximately 2,000 square feet. John first asked me to submit pictures of homes and aspects of things I’d like to be contained in it. He also assisted with the selection of the land which was extremely helpful and eliminated any constraints there. Renderings were drawn up and adjusted accordingly based on my comments. Additionally; he and his team incorporated features that I didn’t understand at the time, would find functional today. Among their many great attributes, I think their willingness and coordination with my builder was the greatest. Architects may specify materials and techniques in the blue prints that a builder may be unfamiliar with or simply unwilling to use. Budgeting constraints may also require your plans to be altered. In any of those regards, they were always flexible and accommodating to the circumstances. Beyond the architectural design and approval by local officials. My plans required review by a structural engineer. Unfortunately this phase is not performed in house and the only downside to my total experience with Marshall Sabatini. I absolutely love my home designed by John Marshall, Kevin Peters, John DiNuovo and the entire Marshall Sabatini team. It encompasses everything I wanted and more. I highly recommend Marshall Sabatini and would certainly employ their services again. Best of luck in your endeavor too.

John Marshall and his team worked on a second floor addition to our mid-century “contemporary ranch”. They were pleasant and professional to work with from initial design to the completion of the construction. They took our initial feedback and came with a few design options that were unique and well thought out. They recommended a few contractors – one of which we ended up using.
