Mark is a brilliant architect who designed our ADU with both beauty and functionality in mind. One of my must-haves was a frameless corner window for my office. Not only did he make it happen, he designed the entire structure around it so the whole space feels cohesive and intentional. He also incorporated thoughtful touches, like a recessed circular ceiling fan, that elevate the design. The process was just as great as the outcome. Mark collaborated with us in real time over Zoom, making design sessions efficient and fun. He also managed the permitting process with the City, handling paperwork and following up to keep things on track. Mark is friendly, helpful, and easygoing, with a modern style that balances creativity and practicality. We’ve already referred him to neighbors and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a collaborative architect with an incredible eye for design.

As an interior designer for many years, I've worked with several architects, and I was choosy about who I would hire for my own project. Mark Nichols is hands-down the best one I've found to collaborate with, bringing creativity and solid know-how to the table. From the outset, my husband and I had some very specific ideas about the architecture of our ground-up construction project. Mark was great at listening and interpreting these ideas into something buildable - layering in lots of valuable ideas of his own. Mark is approachable and a strong communicator. He was consistently conscientious, and helped us so much in dealing with the city and various consultants to keep our project on track. When unexpected issues arose, as they always do during construction, we really appreciated his partnership in solving the problems to keep moving forward. Our completed project is stunning, and we couldn't have done it without Mark. I would not hesitate to recommend his architectural services to any of my clients, colleagues and friends.

I have completed several projects with architect Mark Nichols, including various ground-ups, T.Is, and special projects with challenges in scope and condition. Throughout all these years and projects, Mark was and is a great architect to work with for the following reasons: (1) his drawings are clear and detailed enough to make our job smoother, (2) he is one of the best communicators I have worked with in the industry with unmatched transparency, availability, clarity, and very straight forward (3) he takes responsibility of his projects and commits to its completion and success. Most importantly, Mark is a good and genuine person, and I consider him a friend above a client.

Mark helped design our dream back house! There were so many moving pieces but we never felt stressed out as mark was able to be in loop at all times and communicated really well with contractors, our interior designer and the engineer. We knew from his renderings that he was talented and that we were making a special place, but it far exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for the incredible work Mark!

Our experience working with Mark is somewhat limited because he was the junior architect on the team that helped us build our house, but we did interact with him in that capacity on multiple occasions. We enjoyed working with him. He is bright and conscientious and always seemed prepared for the tasks that he had been asked to do. He helped us out with visualizing the design of our home and guided us through the permitting process.

I worked with Mark on my insurance building buildout, complete renovation (gut) job and can't tell you how impressed I am with Mark's design. The plans were instantly approved at the city without any questions or revisions needed which was fantastic! The office looks amazing and I get compliments from every client that comes into our office. He also went above and beyond to get me some publicity from a local newspaper journal as well. Highly recommended and will be working with Mark again for future projects.
